Be without you(parody)

Be without you( Parody)
I glad i'm not with you, can't be with you, dont want to be with you
(Oh, oh, oh, oh)
I glad i'm not with you, can't be with you, dont want to be with you
(Oh, oh, oh, oh)
Oooo (oh, oh, oh, oh) oooo

Chemistry was lame from the get-go
I really didnt know why
We didn't build nothing overnight
Cuz we knew it took some time
I guess it was just a phase
We couldnt see that
from top to bottom
Still i cant see that (yes)
It's very true that (yes)
We're through(yes)
We had real sh** (yes)
And dammit, we were…

Too strong for a while (but I can be without you baby)
And I'll be busy when you call me (cuz I can be without you baby)
Anybody who's never played, ya know just what I feel
Too hard to fake it, something can replace it
Call the radio if you just can be without your baby

I got a question for ya
See I already know the answer
But still I wanna ask you
Would you lie? (yes)
Attempt to make me cry? (yes)
Do somethin' behind my back and then try to cover it up?
Well, i didnt, ****er
My love was only your love (yes)
l was faithful (yes)
I was real (yes)
And with us you always knew the deal
We were...

Too strong for a while (but I can be without you baby)
And I'll be busy when you call me (cuz I can be without you baby)
Anybody who's never played, ya know just what I feel
Too hard to fake it, something can replace it
Call the radio if you just can be without your baby

See this is real talk
I'm leaving today (no matter what)
It was good (it was thin)
It was wrong (im leaving today)
But if you're down on love or don't believe
It ain't for you (no, it ain't for you)
And if you got it deep in your heart
And deep down you know that it's true (come on, come on, come on)
Well, let me see you put your hands up (hands up)
Fellas show your lady she's the one (fellas show your lady she's the one, oh)
Put your hands up (hands up)
Ladies let him know he's got your love
But if not, tell him staight up
We were...

Too strong for a while (but I can be without you baby)
And I'll be busy when you call me (cuz I can be without you baby)
Anybody who's never played, ya know just what I feel
Too hard to fake it, something can replace it
Call the radio if you just can be without your baby

Heeeeeeeeeeeey Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh
Heeeeeeeeeeeey Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh

I glad i'm not with you, can't be with you, dont want to be with you
I glad i'm not with you, can't be with you, dont want to be with you
I glad i'm not with you, can't be with you, dont want to be with you
I glad i'm not with you, can't be with you, dont want to be with you
I glad i'm not with you, can't be with you, dont want to be with you

edit: this is not a parody, this is just a remake of it, in some sorts

Jadix 03-20-2006 12:03 AM

thats a good ****in song man! Id like to hear it.

Crazy Luv 03-25-2006 10:39 PM

thank you! but now, take a look at this....

Okay, to get this, you are going to need to know some things. Three sets of people are in this rmx. Its me(MCae, Da Brat, and the background singers. Now you need to know colors. My color is green, Da Brat’s color is red, and the Bground singers’ color is pink.
Now, at certain parts, two sets are singing different stuff at the same time, when this happens, the two separate colors are both bolded and bigger in size.
But at other parts, a set is mainly singing and a different set sings quickly right after, just for a second or two. When this happens, you will see the set’s color in parentheses, not bolded or made bigger, just normal size and the sets color.
Do you get it?
It'll look weird, but...yea...

…Now that, that’s explained, well I hope so, I can also tell you that the italicized(sp.?) words are just saying who is singing mainly at the time.

Now to the rmx

Be without you rmx(Parody)
Da brat:
Ha!

MCae:
Glad im not wit you, glad im not wit you(Ha)

Da brat:
Da Brat and MCae
And you are now listenin’ to da
Rmx rmx(glad im not wit you, glad im not wit you)
Da Brat and MCae
And you are now listenin’ to da
Rmx, rmx, rmx, rmx, rmx, rmx(yea…you already kno)
You are listenin’ to da
Rmx, rmx, rmx, rmx, rmx, rmx
Da Brat
Another beat (Concentrate)

MCae:
Chemistry was lame from the get-go
I didnt know why
We didn't build nothing overnight
Cuz we knew it took some time
I guess it was just a phase
We couldnt see that
from top to bottom
Still I cant see that (yes)
It's very true that (yes)
We're through(yes)
We had real sh*t (yes)
And dammit, we were…

Too strong for a while (but I can be without you baby)
And I'll be busy when you call me (cuz I can be without you baby)
Anybody who's never played, ya know just what I feel
Too hard to fake it (something can replace it)
Call the radio if you just can be without your baby

I got a question for ya
See I already know the answer
But still I wanna ask you
Would you lie? (yes)
Attempt to make me cry? (yes)
Do somethin' behind my back and then try to cover it up?
Well, I didnt, f*cker
My love was only your love (yes)
l was faithful (yes)
I was real (yes)
And with us you always knew the deal
We were...

Too strong for a while (but I can be without you baby)
And I'll be busy when you call me (cuz I can be without you baby)
Anybody who's never played, ya know just what I feel
Too hard to fake it (something can replace it)
Call the radio if you just can be without your baby, yeahh

See this is real talk
I'm leaving today (go away….no matter what)
It was good (it was thin)( Da Brat)
It was wrong (im leaving today)(mary j)

Da brat:
Oh it’s classic baby

When we met
I knew you wasnt the one fo’ me
Even though when we wuz togetha
People be thinkin’ we destined to be special
Do you agree? (uhh)
Would you die for me? (uhh)
Try to lie to me? (yes)
Stay by my side thru simple & thin, or certain rivalries? (yes)
I figured you would
So I im leavin’ you jack(jack)
Anythin’ or everythin’ you need
Someone else could provide that
Take it from the past
I wouldnt take that(that)
I could be without chu in my life(look him right in his eyes)
I don’t need you where im at(and tell him)
Now MCae sing that(we’ve been)

MCae:
To strong for awhile (and I can be without you baby) (can be without you baby)
I'll be busy when you call me (cuz I can be without you baby)(ohh)
Anybody who's never played, ya know just what I feel
Too hard to fake it, something can replace it
Call the radio if you just can be without your baby(once again, once again)

Heeeeeeeeeeeey (you are listenin’ to the rmx, rmx, rmx, rmx, rmx, rmx)
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh (you are listenin’ to the rmx, rmx, rmx, rmx, rmx, rmx)
Heeeeeeeeeeeey (I told you, this is the rmx, rmx, rmx, rmx, rmx, rmx)
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh (once again, this is the rmx, rmx, rmx, rmx, rmx, rmx)

Da brat:
Ha, ha, ha
Da Brat (Da Brat)
MCae (MCae)
Blah (blah)
What it do baby (what it do)

Hmmm...i could of sworn i put the title, in bold even...its "Be without you rmx(Parody)".

Quote:

i dont get you ****ing rnb types
Mm'kay. just like some of us "rnb types" dont get you "rock/punk/emo/country/etc types".

But are you saying you cant get what im saying in the song? or what?

either/or 03-26-2006 06:30 AM

the langauge used in this music. it just makes me angry and i dont understand how anyone can stand to listen to it. maybe im ignorant. maybe i just like clever things. maybe im an *******.

Crazy Luv 03-26-2006 06:41 AM

what..slang? Why get angry over such a thing? please, you have that much time on your hands. I know what you mean when you say "i dont understand how anyone can stand to listen to it"", but not with rap/hip-hop/r&b/etc., with rock/classic/opera. Yes you maybe ignorant to this type of music, i dont know you like that, to tell or not. now the "maybe i just like clever things" thing was just stupid to say & unnecessary...plz man, save it. "maybe im an *******"...probably

either/or 03-27-2006 02:19 AM

You do say some very bizarre things.

Crazy Luv, I like these lyrics. They are nice and simple and get the message across clearly. I can also imagine how they would work in practise - in a song, which usually is difficult to do for lyrics that people post on the net.

There aren't many interesting individual lines, perhaps 3 in the whole thing (the ones which go "stay with me through simple and thin, through certain rivalries", "call the radio if you just can't be without your baby" and "we didn't build nothing overnight") but that doesn't really matter, because its more important, in my opinion, to get the message and feeling across than its is to clog up a lyric with lot of pretentious phrases.

Good work. Oh, I don't understand how its a parody. At all. Never mind.

You don't like Opera? What's wrong with you!?

jibber 03-27-2006 03:05 AM

yeah, not too crazy about this song. The lyrics are really crass, no subtlety to them whatsoever. Bluntness can be a good thing in some cases, but I guess it's just a personal thing, because I tend not to like lyrics that are as "rough around the edges" as these are.

and like don't run me over said, how is it a parody? what is it mimicking and how has it altered the message or meaning from the original?

either/or 03-27-2006 02:58 PM

maybe its like a humourous parody. like you know, listen to us send up this ridiculous song and mimick it in all its....glory.

its not can't. its can, Call the radio if you just can be without your baby. you can, not cant...get it?
Yea, im not mocking the origianl, so its not a parody, just a change in the lyrics(from cant being without him to can be without him, very simple). My bad.
 (about the opera thing)

how about this...
*sounds of opening door*

I don't wanna go another minute..
So I'm telling you, exactly what is my order
Seems like everybody's stepping down
throwing the fats aside..
But I know I got a good thing right here,
That's why I say.. (Mmm..)

Nothings gonna taste any better, I’m gon’ stick wit u forever
Double Quarter pounder with cheese, I’m gon’ stick wit u..
You know how to fill my appetite, I'm gon' stick wit u, oh baby
Nothing else will make me feel this way, I'mma stick wit u

I can’t go another minute..
So I'm ordering, exactly what is on my mind.
See it’ll be to much, if I give you up,
Ain't nobody gettin' in between
I want you to know that, you’re the only thing for me

Nothings gonna taste any better, I’m gon’ stick wit u forever
Double Quarter pounder with cheese, I’m gon’ stick wit u..
You know how to fill my appetite, I'm gon' stick wit u, oh baby
Nothing else will make me feel this way, I'mma stick wit u

And now, ain't nothing else I can eat..
And now, I'm singing.. 'cause your so, so good to me
You got me…hooked, I’ll be dreaming of you endlessly
I'm with you, sandwich you’ll always be within me…

So don't cha worry about,
people changing my mind,
they ain't bring me up
I know you, and you please me..
and that's all that counts
So don't cha worry about,
people changing my mind,
they ain't bring me up
I know you, and you please me..
and that's why, that's why I say..

DontRunMeOver 03-29-2006 04:39 AM

I like it. Had to add my own rhyme, nicking your ideas and some of your lines too. Its about eating a burger, people. Hehehe, double-entendre time...

I'm hungry for your touch
I can't wait another minute
Your warmth upon my lips
Upon my mouth, I want you in it

I bite into your flesh
And emit a pleasured sound
As my body gets warm
And I feel you going down...

---

(In your lyrics, you could add lines along the lines of 'they say that its a phase/puppy fat, puppy love/but when when I'm not with you/I'm always bringing you up (geddit?)'.

Bad jokes in songs, works a treat.

Insult me anyway, damn you! Most bands like Incubus, so don't be nice because of that.

i cant think of anything. but how can you back this song up? it really has nothing going for it.

DontRunMeOver 03-29-2006 06:17 AM

If you're anti pop-stylings in general then I can see how you can not like it. I'm not, I appreciate the usefulness of simplicity in songs, if the song still gets its meaning across. I don't get how its a parody, but it got A meaning across to me, so I'm happy with it.

Its not the best lyric I've read here, but at the same time I would put it above many of the more complex, contrived ones I've seen, because at least it leaves me with a picture in my head, an understanding of what is being said. That's more important than putting a load of clever-sounding phrases, with no direction or rhythmic patterning, onto a page.

I quite like the fact that I can't quote individual lines here, as the individual lines are all (taken on their own) not very exciting. As a complete lyric its fine though.

either/or 03-29-2006 06:23 AM

i see. i know its a draft and all but still it's the use of words like cuz, and ya that just remind me of things like stickwitu, which is just so commercial and the whole scene just reeks of top50 charts, crazy frogs, black people who arent as tough as they say they are, teenage girls and mediocre metaphors.

I'm sure hes refering to the "gansta" mtv hip-hop stereotype that you seem to enforce with these generic, typical, unoriginal etc, lyrics you constantly post. Its these annoying "Yo, Im a bling-bling king, check out my silver pistol gold coated bullets I use to it shoot at the servants of the man, who come too near my grill where I teach my hoe whos the man" or "Check out my humps let me shake my booty in your face" lyricism, thats a problem and its not bad he said black people, I mean cmon whats fifty cent, chingy, beyonce white?

I love how you single out that one statement and made it seem racist, when really it wasn't at all, he was pointing out a flaw in your writing.

Also its not that hard to type out "cause" instead of "cuz" Anyway, the song seems like the typical MTV hip-hop writing, same ole' metaphors. Also, your vocabulary is ordinary and overused, I see it everywhere. Don't like it, and I apologize if this statement came off as racist, im tired, sweaty and sore and need sleep.

Crazy Luv 04-01-2006 12:57 AM

I still wonder why he had to say black people, why he cant just say people.
I only use "cuz" & stuff like that once in a while. But those songs I put were different, I copied the original lyrics from somewhere online, then altered them into the way I wanted them to be. Didn’t change the cuz or the apostrophes in the place of letters. Don’t see the need to.
No it’s not hard to type out cause instead of cuz, but that doesn’t mean the people gotta. That doesn’t make them lazy or whatever you might say.
But that’s the way the words are sounded out when the people sing it or rap it. For common example durr & there do not sound the same. If you don’t like this type of music, fine, but don’t hate a song because of how words are pronounced/spelled, durr & there still mean the same damn thing.
If I thought he was racist, I would have said something, I was just asking a fucking question.
Your vocabulary is ordinary and overused Well I’m not one of those people who’s gonna say some big ass words & try to sound like something I’m not. So if that makes my vocabulary ordinary & overused, then chyea with that.

TrampInaTux 04-01-2006 02:31 AM

Didn't like the song. I like my lyrics with a bit of spark, and that had none. And anyway, if you are going to say people are lazy for using the word cuz when you use cause that is just plain stupid. Cause is just a shortened down version of because, so that must mean you are lazy to. By the way, the guy weren't being racist. You should get over yourself.

either/or 04-01-2006 04:06 AM

oh no i was being racist. mwahahahaha black people murdered my wife!

TrampInaTux 04-01-2006 04:07 AM

Well now it looks like we can't win the argument...

Crazy Luv 04-01-2006 04:07 AM

Then that was a stupid question, how often do you see a white person doing that pathetic excuse for rap on MTV about bling bling with the same vocabulary as the talentless corporate tool before him?

Another thing, vocabulary is a key thing to a song if its the same as all stuff in radio-rotation its going to be a huge turn off. Vocabulary helps make a song colorful and what the hell is chyea?

Crazy Luv 04-03-2006 06:53 PM

chyea = alright or yea, you could kinda guess that if you read it right. not hard.

the key to a song is the flow to it. Exactly though, vocabulary used helps make a song colorful. but the vocabulary doesnt have to be perfect, or proper.

you sound so fucking racist, its not funny(even if you aint ****ing meaning to). It aint about number. i was just saying he didnt have to say a color. but why you making a big fucking deal about this. The person i was talking to said he understood. now whats up with you.

sleepy jack 04-03-2006 06:57 PM

So, i'm making a big deal out of it, even though you're equally doing it? I'm making a big deal out of it because you replied to my post and thats pretty pathetic if the "key to the song" is flow, because well I for one try to make my song have multiple "keys" as opposed to one strong point. Anoth thing how is saying black person racist? I'd also like for you to point out how im "sounding so fucking racist", because I really don't see how i'm being racist.

Crazy Luv 04-03-2006 08:13 PM

I'm making a big deal out of it because you replied to my post ...that sounded stupid to me. You asked me a question, i answered. So you saying you making a big deal out of this because i answered you...riiiiiight...

thats you, for me it'll be pathetic if the key is vocabulary

For the last ****ing time, i said it wasnt racist, i just asked why he cant say people. i asked HIM! at first i was just joking, but your ass had to make a big ****ing deal out of this ****.

Just read what you put. maybe its not for you, but for others, the way you said what you said, sounded like it.

Man, just drop this, goddamn

DontRunMeOver 04-04-2006 04:49 AM

I heard this song on the radio on friday, which left me even more confused about the 'parody' nature of it. You have (like you already said, I think) just changed a few lines so that it changes the mood from being obsessed with 'your baby' to being over them. I can't say that what you did to the song originally works particularly well (now that I googled it and compared the lyrics) - you don't get into the theme change enough to make it really effective, the change is pretty superficial where it could have been much more extensive. If you're keeping the original melody you can change most of the lyric content, particularly if the lengths of the phrases and the rhyme sounds remain similar so that the overall sound is the same but the message changes.

To everybody else here, the lyrics you read are essentially the lyrics to a Mary J Blige song. Crazy Luv changed it to make it a parody, but didn't actually change much at all. I've heard it (vibe FM... but the R'n'B channels soon disappeared when I got to the south-west!) and it was great, so I stand by the original statement about simple lyrics, which fit a song well, being better than convoluted poems that kill the music.

Crazy Luv 04-04-2006 04:04 PM

if you look, the 1st post i..posted to start off this thread, you know the one with the lyrics on it. yea, well i edited & said this is not a parody, this is just a remake of it, in some sorts.

I know i didnt change much of it so far. this is just the rough-draft after all. but thank you for your comment
