i had to do somthing on this topic, recently there as kid who died in a crash, i didnt know them but alot of my friends did and it made me think, if it could happen to them it could happen to anyone, so this is a topic everyone can relate to, this is directed at no one in particular, anyone who has passed, but back on topic here it is..

Writing about this sort of subject is always possible, because its difficult to do it in a non-cliche manner. It seems like i've read this sort of song a million times, its not very good. Its just too ordinary.

Try talking about a memory about the kid, if you don't have one make one up make it more of a personal song, and about the actual kid as just opposed to him dying and the aftermath.

It's all second hand information. If you had known the dude personally then your reaction might be more genuine. We lost someone very near and dear to us recently but it's so personal to the point where I haven't been able to write anything about it yet... but give me time.
