I can't say what I want to, words hold no meaning for
I've shot myself in the foot, and everyone else
Is grabbing at their back for relief.
I'm not exactly sure when or how I
Came to be this mindless youth but I'm
On my knees with both hands cupped in front of me.
My eyes drowned long ago from my conscience's waves
And I can't say that I blame it for allowing
That leak to appear.
I shot at the sun and all its fellow stars and it
was so much more than a foolish thing to do.
I guess that's what it takes if you want to be alone,
Just stab at everyone around you but
I sure do miss that feeling of company.
So I'll wait, I'll wait for all the back wounds to heal
If that's what it takes though I
