It's brilliant, bordering on genius!

It conjures up a failed relationship and hints at the bitterness of the author.
It's clear the writer has been wronged by the individual this was aimed at and it's intentional vagueness of gender is a masterstroke, rendering the piece truly universal.

"Do you remember our relationship,
the days we spent together"

There's the leading question, it's purpose is clear.
The intent to lull the recipient into a false sense of nostalgia and of a love that was.

Then the sting and with it, all that a love spurned represents.

"honestly,
I don't.
I forgot about it".

It reeks of bitterness and betrayal, it's designed to cut deep, as deep as the wounds the subject matter inflicted on the writer.
Revenge!

"sorry"

A nod of recognition for the pain re-paid.

The minimalism of this work is a trick of the eye.
And on closer examination, each word is a brushstroke.
It's been said, "a picture paints a thousand words"...here, the opposite applies.

Actually...on second thoughts...it was shite!
