Pretty Enough

my most recent poem

I sit here with a plan for my final route
as crimson water poors from my arm
into a sink that is taking away all my dreams
im crying, bleeding mascara but you dont know
youre too busy with others girl at your home.

im not pretty enough you tell me but i think
youre pretty enough for both of us just because
im not as beautiful as those other girls doesnt mean
I cant love you, cause I really want to.

theres scars on my wrists from other attempts
and they stay like the tears that constantly fall
and never seem to disappear at all like those poems
i wrote in my notebook, like this poem i wrote.

and when I die i hope youll stand over my grave
and say she wasnt pretty enough.
