"High Tide"


Callous
Shallows, shallows
Sing, sang
Dismal echoes.

What we fear:
waves resounding endlessly in the background
of a dimly lit
scene;
Candles flickering;
Stopping and starting and clinging,
Clinging to their lives like poor marionettes
clinging to their reigns.
Cold air,
Body bare.
Gone away,
silently.
