Bob Dylan?

What do you guys think about his lyrics? My opinion is that they are possibly the greatest ballads and protest songs ever but people that i hang out with hate them and think they're weird.

MY opinion is that this doesn't belong in this part of MusicBanter. But hey, I'm no mod. Take it away, Urban!

dude, there not as good as u say they are, but there alright. John lennon has some of the strongest protest song out there.

BD doesn't do it for me. Great songwriter. Terrible singer.

I can't believe there's not another Bob Dylan thread on all of MB .

At least now we have one in the songwriting forum.

Bob Dylan is especially great with lyrics.
His voice, on the other hand, is a different matter.

Since we're discussing this, a penny for my thoughts.

Bob is one of my favorite artists of all time. I think his lyrics are poetry. And call my crazy, but I do like the man's voice. It's raw, honest. Fits his lyrics.
