"Untitled" Poem (PLEASE READ) (single, show, memories, hands)

Okay so im not very good at poetry, but i felt like posting this anyways...

Untitled

What if your whole world
Just lost its light
If it all flew off,
Towards the sky.
As if nothing mattered,
As if no one cared,
All that is left,
Shadows and darkness.
All we can feel,
Pain and misery.

What if a voice
Cried out to you there
“I shall show you the light,
There will always be
Something
Someone
Willing to pull you through
This world filled with despair.
I promise.”

And what if you cant believe this honest voice.
You think he lying.
You know he doesn’t care.
Even though that’s what you need,
Someone always there.
But you just can’t bring yourself
To replace your trust,
Because the last time you tried,
It didn’t work.
Your trust was betrayed,
Your hope just thrown away,
Like you didn’t matter,
Like they never cared.

But what if you need to be saved,
And you cant not give the world another chance,
Because you know you need help
And you know you can make it through.
Even though it seems, as you go through
Every single dark and painful night,
That there is nothing to live for.

Cause what if your heart,
Because it wants to be loved, cared about,
Allows you to realize,
That just because one person
Kills you inside,
Others way not.
Others may help carry you,
Pull you through,
Save you.

So what if you listen to the voice,
You follow what your heart tells you,
And ignore what you mind is so violently screaming at you.
You put your trust
Your hope
Your life
In the hands of another,
Just as you did before.

Now what if the wounds wont heal,
The scars wont go away.
What if this one kills you too,
What if he hurts you,
Just as much as before,
What if,
Just as you start to regain the stars,
Regain the sun,
Regain the rays of light you had tried so hard just to feel again,
You stop caring,
You stop fearing the dark,
Cause you’ve been there already.
So you go back.

You sink farther and farther down,
Until no one can pull you out,
Until no one wants to,
Until you cant control yourself.

Something Else takes you over.
You’re haunted by past memories,
You cant find the solace.
This pain is real,
And theres no escape.




What if you cant find yourself anymore?
You lose who you thought you were, in the pain of losing who you thought you were.
You don’t even understand yourself anymore,
You don’t know who you are.
And you recede.

The dark lives on.
You don’t know how to keep going,
You don’t know how to go back,
To a time when nothing mattered.
You don’t know yourself anymore.
You cant escape.
Your drowning in a pool of your shadows,
Past and present.
They push you down
Again
And again
And again,
You cant take it.
You’re at your breaking point,
You’re falling off the edge,
You cant stop yourself.
You cant escape.
This light is impossible.
The dark lives on.
