I recently made a weird but awesome sounding piece that borders sound collage and song. However, I speak at various times through it, and you will probably be surprised at how young I am, lemme just say that.

Hi Bullet,

Just listened to your two pieces there. It's a coincidence cos I just made a post called 'Poetry without Lyrics'. I reckon you are getting very close to that with this example. I write music, sometimes with words, sometimes without. As you say, yours is more a sound collage and it becomes a kind of guessing game to see if we can figure out the pictures you were wanting us to see.

I think instrumental music does a very similar thing but in my examples, I use chord structures and sequences and melody to abstractly guide the listener to a mind picture or mood. (OR NOT, ha, ha..).

That was interesting but on your next, I would try linking the different sounds together more maybe by using some distant back beat or long atmospheric chords or something.

All the best, Gordon.
