Cool stuff Dirty. All Scientific has got a real good beat/melody to it. Im not sure what kind of mic your using but you should try to turn the preamp gain down on your voice parts(rapping). Its nothing your doing, its just a little fuzzy for 1 of two reasons. Either your too close to the mic or like I said preamp gain is to high causing it to distort.

Thanks Rezz. I don't know a damn thing about production or anything, really. All I do is write stuff down and record it in my buddy's garage and he messes with it to make it sound better. I'll mention to him about turning the preamp gain down, as I'm guessing that's what it is cause I don't think I stand too close to the mic and it's a nice microphone.

RavenEffect, i still wanna do a collab and I'll pick a beat but I wanna get the general theme set before anything else.. What ideas you got? I mean we could do the basic egotistical stuff but id like to have a general theme that we can all create some lines for. I think you said about lyrical weaponry or something, i kinda like that idea. Conan said about everyone just dissing someone they dislike but i dont really wanna do that, id like all of our verses to kinda go hand in hand or follow something general. So any ideas, shoot them.

I'm not really interested in a collab right now, I took a few weeks off from writing cause everything was feeling forced and I wasn't feeling it, so I scratched some songs I've been working on and re-did a few verses. My plan is to record and have a new tape of like 10ish songs by mid-May (right after Finals). I wanna take my time and make this awesome and I like the few songs I have almost done so far.

Anyways, MB members feel free to please suggest topics you'd like to hear rapped about, or just ideas in general. I'm feeling lacking in that department, the few songs I have written are mainly metaphorical and braggadocios and one is a pretty sweet story-telling song. But I'd like more ideas, even if they are goofy ones or whatever. Contemplating making an MB rap for the lulz, we'll see what happens.

what about political type raps? has that ever interested you at all?

you could create something about what's going on in egypt.
even tell a story from the eyes of a little boy that has to experience all the violence in front of his eyes that went on , on the days of the riots.

you could make a silly one that talks about how Bill O'Reilly was manhandling Obama in a recent interview that happened on super bowl sunday

you could talk about how bogus global warming is or if you agree with global warming talk about how people need to wake up before the earth consumes us all. You could even talk about like how mother earth has always taken care of us but we mistreat her in every way possible like an abusive drunk son.

You could make one about corporal punishment for kids and how the world is become more of a pussy state and not spanking their kids thinking that it's helping to deter future crime.

I decided to axe the idea of naming this next mixtape Dirty By Design and instead going with Verbal Combat. Only 5 or 6 songs. Combat theme, lyrical swordsplay, verbal assasin. You get the idea. Just haven't wanted to write lately at all though. Probably pushing my recordings back until...well whenever I feel like it. Probably won't happen in August like I planned but I'm not recording any more half-assed songs.

Also THERE WAS A THREAD ON THIS FORUM SOMEWHERE that I been searching for. It had links to a bunch of sites with samplings and loops and cool stuff like that. I can't find it. I want to add a lot of background samples in this mixtape, kinda like old Eminem songs with the noises throughout the rhymes (only not to the extent that he took it). I'm talking battle sounds, explosions, etc. HELP ME FIND THIS THREAD IF YA KNOW WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was just reading through this thread Dirty, and I was quite impressed. You have some interesting ideas for songs like "Only In America" (I didn't that was executed very well though) and a good flow. Once I free up some space I'll give your a mixtape a download.
