I Need a Title
I am powerful over this
So Called Addiction. I have come to this contemplation Of addiction only Because the word has been shoved down my throat. Not until I changed did I find what I was looking for. Lost in the fields of disreality Did I crave reality all the more. The same reality they told me I was running away from. Theft lies in the past, and the ever approaching future. Theft is not my admission to ill-controllable lifestyle, More of a lack of moral compass. Coming to terms with myself and All That They Say I AM NOT. I find What I AM. Did the thought ever stream my consciousness? How did they follow me here? Am I really lost? This higher power isn't helping at all. Even as I understand it. Powerful over my addiction If it is even there. I need a title for these lyrics, can anyone help me with this? |
Honestly I think it needs a few more lines. As for a title....howabout "A Word"? Could be read as "a word" or "A, word"-as in addiction. Or maybe "A Craving"

I am.

I would say "Addiction". It's the one word that repeats throughout the song that has some sort of catch to it.
Good job! |
I agree with Trick on "Addiction". Unless you want something more creative: A.D.D.I.C.T:
All Dreams Die In Crashing Times - "Run For Your Life, Make Music Til You Die", Z.G. |
For some reason I like the title "Theft" It gets repeated in those two lines. But in an abstract way it also describes part of the theme of the lyrics if I understand them right.
If the above is true, then that title would represent the deeper meaning of the lyrics rather than just labelling it a song about addiction which sort of pigeon holes it. |
Thanks for all of the suggestions guys. I'm liking "Theft" especially, that ties in perfectly IMO.
