Default piano accompaniment

Iím trying to learn how to play piano accompaniment while I sing. I know how to play classical piano and some blues, but I canít find a book on piano accompaniment for pop, rockÖ (with advices like: donít play the melody, play chords on the right handÖ). Does anybody know a book about this or has some advices? How do piano accompanists learn to accompany?

We have the same problem. If you have found an answer to our quest, would you mind sharing it with me?

Till then
