Addiction
 

Another one of my bands songs that ive written. This one is sung somewhat slower than most of our songs but picks up on the chorus. the music is still heavy and kinda sludgy with a rockin solo thrown in that ranges from a few seconds to a few minutes depending on our moods.

my band is called The Declaimed, i should have alot of our songs somewhere online end of Sept/ early Oct.

Hehe...Im watching a documentary on Bob Dylan at the moment and I'v just sang the lyrics to 'Addiction' in a Dylanesque style (sorry Fenix) and it worked beatifully haha.

house party, kegs, half naked women on trampolines, and some guy with a mic recording us in a drunken stupor...

this isnt planned to be released anytime soon, but its a live. listen to it dammit and tell me what you think

fun stuff....I just re-read it (as I see that I commented on it a while ago) and this line really stood out to me.

I'm so accustomed to hearing polished works that it's nostalgic and even somewhat of a throw back to hear a personal live recording - if I didn't have the lyrics on the site I would have no idea of what is going on and it would just sound like pure chaos.... but who said that was a bad thing?

I am looking forward to a polished version, though, but for now this will do quite nicely.

thanks PTS, couldnt really tell you what state of mind i was in when i wrote it, but looking back on some of the songs from around this time, it was a pretty f'd up place.

cool, i used to record alot of shows with a small handheld tape recorder back in the day, every once in awhile i would catch a great raw sound that bands cant reproduce in a studio
