Default What does it take?

I am working with a songwriter from Texas. The guy is very talented in terms of writing lyrics and music, but his music/songwriting career hasn't taken off just yet. He desperately wants me to choose bands from our area and get in touch with them about playing/recording his music, but this is an unconventional request (at best) and we've had no success convincing our targeted bands to participate. What would it take for YOU to participate if somebody came to you with such a request?

What kind of artist are you trying to get in contact with, are you going for Miranda Lambert or Joe Ely?
