But I can definitely do another if my track doesn't work.

The OP literally says you can add variety.

It's not a bad track, but it feels like a noise/ambient track with a bit of polka flavoring.

Well...it is a member project after all. And I do make noise and ambient music (ha, sure I do.) But I honestly don't mind reworking it. It does definitely need more polka.

I listened to the whole thing, talented mother****er

Elphenor praising metal? Did we just walk into a alternate universe.

The purpose was (at least partially) to challenge members to do something out of their comfort zone (unless they got lucky and got assigned something familiar). There are those of us who doubt that Frownland will actually do a pop track like he was supposed to, and not just the usual Beefheart-isms.

But that's just my take. Grindy makes the rules.

That's fair. I just went by assumptions of what the thread was about but I honestly don't mind doing another track. I was more so under the impression that the genre had to be included in a personal made track. However I do think your description probably relates closer to what the threads intention is.

No worries. I can have a track ready in a day or so.

But like I said: Grindy makes the rules. I'm just a visitor.

Not that your track wasn't nice but I think it would be much more of a hoot to hear you make straight up polka with your own take on it (it's not like you can't inject noise or ambient into a bona fide polka track). And assuming you don't have to take a night class to figure out how to write polka I imagine it might be more fun for you too.

Definitely. I'm going to work on a track tonight and it'll basically be much better than my previous one. I'll see what I can do. I'd love to see my own take on polka tbh.
