I mean, if you're publishing something with your friends, then why would you want to publish t someplace else entirely on your own? |

With such members, we've had some situations that turned more volatile than I thought necessary. They may have ended with long time members getting permabanned, people for whom MB was obviously an important part of their life. These guys were in large part to blame for the behaviour that got them banned, but sometimes it didn't help that a mod leaned into the drama and fanned the flames. It's not great to escalate a conflict where you're safe, but your opponent risk banishment from perhaps the only online community where they feel included. I agree that jokes about bans or abusing mod powers can be fine, but a lot of people read these posts and it's not that unusual for someone to not get the joke or for an argument to start. You know how much we like to argue and misconstrue etc. here. I always thought modding should be done at some emotional distance. You're doing it as a service to the users of the board, not for your own benefit. So your actions should reflect that. |
I'm doing it for the bitches, personally.

I never recorded anything before. If I can get something down on tape before the deadline, what's your address or P. O. box so I can mail you the tape cassette? ... or are you looking for reel to reel master tapes? |
Aw man I was hoping this thread was popular because of the collab happening. I was wrong.

I hadn't thought it all the way through. It was a moment of vain weakness, but it has passed. I'm prepared to not mention it again if people stop bringing it up. |

Looks like my demented bonus track offering isn't happening, I really don't see myself managing to write and record a song before the end of the year unless a miracle happens
|

Lol sure
You can write the lyrics too if you want |
It's the new years soon if not already in some places I'm not sure how time works but anyways at this point I'm planning for the comp to be a four way split (or tie) between myself, Frownland, Mucha na Dkizo, and YorkeDaddy. We can fill up an hour of material so a little less than 15 min a person so it'll all fit on tape, it can be and I would probably prefer already released tracks as well as new ones if ya got em laying around, I'd especially be interested in hearing a song with Marie on it as well!
|
|
just to be clear it's only been set up this way out of people who've shown interest. If you want to be included just lmk and we can figure out how I can get the tracks in.
