Saw George Clinton and Parliament/Funkadelic live at the Ritz in Manchester a few days ago - it was a great show, he's looking good for his age and they played a lot of old favourites, including an awesome version of "Maggot Brain"....

I love Funkadelic. Best music ever to jam to on the bongos/guitar :)

Somehow I just discovered Parliament/Funkadelic yesterday and now I'm on a marathon of funky listening. How did I put off listening to them for so long? Maggot Brain was amazing, to say the least.

Hardcore Jollies, just listened to yesterday. One of my favorite album artworks, and the album itself is awesome. Anything George Clinton is dope.

Cosmic Slop is my favourite, not a bad track, and includes the eerie March to the Witches Castle. Also Nappy Dugout, what a song, what a groove!

One of the best experimental funk bands I've come across. The Electric Spanking Of War Babies deserves a mention too.

They where the pioneers of funk rock music.

(70s P-Funk) One of the more popular innovators of Funk Rock no doubt. Eddie Hazel as a lead (rock) guitarist along with Ernie Isley rocked funk in the 70s.

Rick James along with others are worth mention as well.
