Maggot Brain is godly as far as I'm concerned. Haven't heard One Nation Under a Groove or anything else. I don't know why though, psychedelic funk is like one of the coolest genre combos.

Listening to the debut album and realizing... Funkadellic were a damn experimental band when they first started. Ingenious stuff, highly recommended.

I agree, there are so many genres of music of the modern day, that (in part) derived from P-Funk. Funk Rock, Hip Hop, etc. are a few to mention. The band "The Isley Brothers" were directly influenced by Jimi Hendrix on guitar, You can easily notice in their music (Fight The Power or Living In The Life) by the rock guitar and rhythm section fused with funk. And the rock guitar aspect with Funkadelic is just as well dominating musically. I think sometimes a lot of music enthusiast miss the rock guitar aspect that originates with a lot of the late '60s & '70s funk music/genre.

Their live shows are sure trippy too. Btw, the only album i've listened to is Mothership Connection, which is a great, fun, groovy musical piece. Sooo catchy.

I haven't heard that album in years, Parliament's first album to be certified gold and later platinum. there's just so many albums I still need acquire.

Parliament's Greatest Hits (1984) went Gold as well. I do have that one.
