the cadets, lets rock'n roll , more known for their doo wop output, but could dig out some meaty r&b, as testified here,

little richard, get down with it, brilliant rythym & soul from the self proclaimed king of rock'n roll....

sonny fulton, locked up, a rythym & bluesy jackie wilson sound a like, and does not a bad job....

don gardner, my baby likes to boogaloo, power r&b with some fantastic breaks, wow! this is why i love this scene you can't get this feelin' anywhere else...

levon & the hawks, honky tonk, deep down & dirty r&b, bobby bland covered this marie adams tune, doubt if it's as rockin' as this version , and thats say'n something...

right now diggin on Betty Davis "They Say I'm Different" reissue on Light In The Attic ... mad funk, killer groove, voice like Jen Herrema in another life ... she's Miles' ex who used to hang with Jimi when her name was Betty Mabry, and the music is worthy of the pedigree
