Default Fat Freddy's Drop

I put these guys in general music because they mix soo many genres into their music. Things like Roots and Dub Reggae, to Jazz and Soul. They're from New Zealand I think and they're amazing. "Based on a True Story" is a fanominal album. For anyone who is interested i'll upload it.

Alright, i should have it done tonight. ALSO!...you're really lucky for seeing them live. I'd imagine it would have been a great show. They're all soo talented.

Not only did I see them live....I saw them live 4 times....

Free.

The only thing that annoys me is how overplayed (In New Zealand) "The Wandering Eye" is.

They're pretty localized really.
nothing huge.
But that one song is/was/will always be huge.

It doesn't help that it's 9 minutes long.

Default Fat Freddy's Drop.

I can't hold it in any longer. Im just loving this NZ band that utilises reggae rythmns overdubbed with some great Soul/Funk. Their full length album Based On A True Story did'nt impress me initially, but once I succumbed to their style I was smitten! This is a track from BASED. I also have an excellent 4 track live EP that clocks in at over 60 mins and showcase their truly brilliant laidback vibes.

Wild Wind, Pull the Catch, and the Raft are my faves from the new album so far. I could only find a youtube vid for Pull the Catch though.

My flatmate bought the new album but I haven't had the chance to give it a spin yet. Can't wait.
