Just saw Maceo Parker a couple months ago. His band is ridiculous. They were so tight and profuse at the same time, I didn't even want to laugh or clap or whistle, or I might miss something, so I stood there in mid-laugh with my mouth open like and idiot.
Marcus Shadd was the drummer. Damn. Makes me want to quit. Maceo's true nepwhew. I recommend this show to anyone, and I'm pretty sure they are in Italy or somewhere in Eureope right now.

I've seen P-Funk/ George Clinton twice. They become kind of fuzzy/ indistinct after a while, and repetitive. Maceo Parker's show remains clean, distinct, fresh, and classy- even on the same songs.
