Shoulda chosen Bowie tbh. Floyd might bore you or whatever but their albums are well-constructed.

I like Bowie songs. I do not like Floyd songs almost entirely.

There are several artists with expansive discographies where I like almost every single track they've made, so I wouldn't use the word "pervasive". But it depends on the artist, of course.

"Song" is not a dirty word, or am I just from another planet, musically speaking? 99% of the music I love the most could be described as "songs".

I prefer to consider everyone else narrow minded bores that won't give anything a second chance.

My point was that saying that you like Bowie's songs as opposed to his albums is a testament to the fact that his albums are so overloaded with filler.

That's an interesting point. On the flipside I think Floyd albums are more memorable for being, well, albums because of how they're assembled. They're AOR in the most absolute technical sense of the term.
