Most people here hate Marvin Gaye.
Kidding, of course. But I just went to search for the thread and realized there wasn't one...maybe they do hate Marvin Gaye?

Marvin Gaye is easily in my Top 5 favourite artists! Amazing voice, amazing talent and honestly? He isn't mentioned nearly as much as he should be for his contribution towards the civil rights movement. His song is still as relevant now as it was then.

Oh absolutely, music was without a doubt the best way Marvin could have contributed to that movement. It's a classic. It's timeless and it's relevant today. The moment the song starts, I just have to sit back, close my eyes and let the emotion take over.
