My favourite soundtracks are for Lost in Translation and Rushmore. Both great movies, heightened by great music.

BlueEyedSuicide 07-19-2006 11:35 AM

I love the soundtrack to Donnie Darko, everything on it fits the movie so beautifully.

CombatBaby 07-19-2006 11:12 PM

i liked the cruel intentions soundtrack, including the stuff in the trailer.
also Air did some of the soundtrack for the virgin suicides which was alright.

Sir Droopy 07-19-2006 11:24 PM

The soundtrack to the Flash Gordon movie by Queen. Why? Because of the fantasy world arrangements.

The soundtrack for Aliens by James Horner. Spooky ass **** if you listen to it, with the lights out.

a7Xcore 07-19-2006 11:31 PM

Donnie Darko soundtrack was really good. =]

crimepartner 07-20-2006 01:13 AM

the songs on donnie darko are heavily 80s bands. I dont know about the sound track, but they play tears for fears and the song at the very end is a remake. any ways

The Harder They Come is my favourite soundtrack.
I don't have many soundtracks, but I'll give an honourable mention to Grosse Pointe Blank

Magnolia (2000)

This has got to be the best soundtrack I have ever heard. It's mostly by Aimee Mann, and always puts you in a supremely relaxing mood. It has some tracks by Supertramp, and a song by some other lady. Great CD from start to finish.

under 01-21-2008 03:56 PM

i like the soundtrack for Juno. haha!

sleepy jack 01-27-2008 02:43 AM

I liked it too but all the hype surrounding the movie is starting to bug me. It's like the new garden state.

House of a 1000 corpses and Cruel Intentions

RoemerMW 04-27-2008 05:39 PM

Of all time, the soundtracks to The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. More recently, either the soundtracks to There Will Be Blood and The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.

And I'm to lazy to think up a soundtrack to my life.

KeithMoon2112 04-27-2008 05:42 PM

Revenge of the nerds
Valley Girl
Footloose

Piss Me Off 07-15-2008 04:21 AM

I absolutely adore the Fight Club soundtrack. I mean, it's an incoherent mess, i stick it on shuffle and it still works just as well, but i suppose in a way that suits the film. I doth my cap to the Dust Brothers, i could listen to it all day.

Best Tele Theme Tune

This is mine.
What are yours?
This is brilliant also check out Minder and the Sweeney.

kyleargyle 09-08-2008 09:16 AM

The soundtrack to "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford" by Nick Cave is unbelievable.

Janszoon 09-18-2008 06:56 AM

For me it's either the Repo Man soundtrack or the Cool World soundtrack. Repo Man is an amazing movie with a fantastic early 80s SoCal punk soundtrack and Cool World is an unbelievably bad movie whose only redeeming feature is its wonderful early 90s electronica soundtrack.

simplephysics 09-28-2008 01:13 PM

Requiem for a Dream is my favorite movie hands down. The concept, the camera work, filters.. everything comes together perfectly (even Jared Leto's acting) and to top it off they give us this amazing score throughout the whole movie. It's flawless.

^^^

Nothing short of stunning. I recently got the soundtrack. Have you heard 'The Fountain' soundtrack by the same composer for the same director? It's stunning.

Tyler Durden 09-28-2008 01:45 PM

The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou is a really good soundtrack consisting of mostly David Bowie acoustic covers and some other indie goodness like Sigur Ros

also the new movie Choke has a really good soundtrack with music by Radiohead, Death Cab For Cutie, Clap Your Hands And Say Yeah, Etc.

Check it out!

..and I have been for a drink with him too :D. Have you ever heard the band he was in originally: Pop Will Eat Itself? They classed themselves as Grebo rock and were something of a cult band in the late 80's early 90's.

It was a really funny movie, but nowhere near as good as the book
The director tried to make it into his own story but Sam Rockwell saves the movie by portraying Victor like he does. But yeah definately see this when you have time it is great!
