It would be so much easier if you put all the tracks into one file and then upload that. You can only download one track at a time in your link and that is a big ask. I think MB should create a guide to uploading but I'm too lazy lol

I'm new to these forums so I feel like showing some of my tastes. This is a pretty random list but I love every song on here. Not my top 10 of all time, as that would take extensive thought.

Tuff Ghost - The Unicorns
Not the most amazing lyrics, but I gravitate towards good music. Lyrics to me are just a bonus if they are good. In other words, I cannot be sustained solely on lyrics.

Teeth Like God's Shoeshine - Modest Mouse
One of my favorites off my favorite album by them. Great guitar work.

Around The World / Harder Better Faster Stronger - Daft Punk
I listened to ALIVE 2007 with my friend when we smoked every day for like 2 months... Great great techno.

Bushels - Frog Eyes
This one is definitely a grower. Its so epic and Mercer's vocals are great.

Only Shallow - My Bloody Valentine
I thought they were an emo band when I first heard the name... But this song is so great. Its hard for me to explain really...my favorite off Loveless.

2+2=5(The Lukewarm) - Radiohead
The pacing of this song is great. Typical Radiohead.

Modern World - Wolf Parade
It was hard to pick this one from the numerous great songs off their debut album, but I chose this one.

Shine On You Crazy Diamond - Pink Floyd
Candidate for my favorite song by them. It's really interesting with the whole history too.

Born Under Punches(The Heat Goes On) - Talking Heads
I just love how all the parts add up to the whole with this one.

For Reverend Green - Animal Collective
I'm not the biggest animal collective fan in general, but I love this song. However I do think Strawberry Jam is their best and if things keep going this way it may change my mind.

Old/new/any genre...it doesn't even matter if you think most here have heard them before.
What matters, is that you list the tracks in your post along with the link and a little write up to explain your choices.

Just throw 10 tracks together and post them here.

Send big files the easy way with sendspace. Files too large for email attachments? No problem!

1. Gene Chandler - Nothing Can Stop Me.
A Northern Soul favourite and a tune that carries a personal message and a few bad memories.
Gene Chandler means every word of this song, sang with real soul.

2. Iggy Pop - The Passenger
Another track that takes me back to a certain youth club...which involves hanging around and acting cool.

3.Edwin Starr - 25 Miles
Another Northern Soul standard and a storming floorshaker of a tune.
Turn the volume up to 11 for this one.

4.Talking Heads - Life During Wartime
I love this band and this is my favourite 'Heads' track by far. Taken from the 'Stop Making Sense' live album. Easily the best version.

5. Don Thomas - Come on Train
Easy to see where Kevin Rowland from Dexy's Midnight Runners got his singing style from. An old N.S favourite and one I never tire of hearing, addictive from the start.

6. The Jam - The Butterfly Collector
Poetic.

7. Space Monkeys - March Of The Scarecrows.
A legendary Manchester band in the mould of the Stone Roses.
Only produced one album, 'The Daddy Of Them All' before falling victim to Tony Wilsons Factory Records going arse up.
Years before their time.
Singalong with a Manc sneer and two fingers up to the world. Epic.

8. Our Love Is In The Pocket - JJBarnes.
Rare soul track from JJ Barnes. Great voice complete with girly backing vocals.
The magic lies with the lyrics.

9. Joy Division - Love Will Tear Us Apart.
I said recently elsewhere on these boards that this record gave me hope for music following the demise of punk (at the time, this is how it was perceived)
One of my favourite ever tracks.

10. Joy Division - Transmission
This one song epitomises what Ian Curtis was all about.
His epileptic state while performing this song, will live with me forever.
Please read this original post. This is NOT a random lists of songs but a chance to put a compilation up for us to share.

1. The National-Slow Show-It's indescribable how good this song makes me feel. The lyrics describe a lot of the feelings I've had recently.

2. Nas-N.Y. State Of Mind-The most poetic rap song ever written. My day feels incomplete if I don't hear this song.

3. Radiohead-Life In A Glass House-Great song. Amazing use of horns. Kind of a loungy feel. I love it.

4. Van Morrison-Sweet Thing-The lyrics in this song are great, to say the least. I can't even describe how much I love this song.

5. The Kinks-Love Me Till The Sun Shines-Ray Davies only makes one demand in this song: "You just have to love me till the sun shines." Such a great song.

6. Wilco-I Am Trying To Break Your Heart-Quite possibly the best lyrics ever written, in my opinion.

7. Leonard Cohen-Joan Of Arc-Great love song. Leonard Cohen knows how to write great lyrics.

8. Elliott Smith-St. Ides Heaven-This song takes the top spot for my favorite Elliott Smith song. Although, that changes quite a bit. It's hard to pick a favorite.

9. Roxy Music-The Thrill Of It All-Great song. Just..listen to it. That's all I can say.

10. Television-Marquee Moon-This is the ultimate song. Great lyrics, great guitar, great everything...
