![]() Speaking of which I'm never one for lengthy write-ups but I got on very well with the Jackhammer electronica compilation - esp. the house-y Kidney Thieves track... but the running order really worked and was as close to a seamless mix as you can get without beatmatching; building up to track 6 and then winding down again to a brilliantly cynical conclusion. I'm now saving these MB compilations in their own playlists on iTunes in the intended running order (no-brainer really) so I can just have them running while I read. ALSO C.A's latest 10-track is typically idiosyncratic and brimming with yummy post-punk/experimental morsels. I have a Green Gartside fetish so it was destined to succeed. My favourite part thus far is the second instrumental half of the mix, which reinforces C.A's point made in another thread about On The Corner's influence on post-punk. At least I think so. Big tings a 'gwanin. |
