I made this compilation for another member on here and like it so much I thought I would share! It's mainly Reggae/Dub/Funk/Soul bands from down under that's a great intro to the fabulous bands in that neck of the woods making quality music. Enjoy and think of summer!

Heartbroken Hip-Hop

Title pretty much says it all, here's a mix of hip hop songs about rejection, heartbreak, and frustration that comes with the unfortunate (or fortunate) ends of relationships, hope you enjoy!

They're a very high energy fun live band hip hop group with a bit of a rock fusion towards their sound. Their MC is one of the few that can both sing and rap so it offers a whole new spectrum of sound that a lot of groups can't provide.

Love & Hip-Hop

Well making my heartbroken hip-hop mix I decided that I needed to balance it out with a more positive side. It's kind of funny the way hip-hop is portrayed in the media; for the most part in a negative light, but then when a positive song comes out it becomes HUGELY popular. What cracks me up is that there's so much positive hip-hop out there, yet only a small amount of it makes it to the popular radio waves. Anyways here's the list:

The tracks in this mix all feature female vocalists. The genres are hard to pin down, but could be classified as trip hop, downtempo, and electronic. The sounds are very heavy and grungy. Its starts off slow and dramatic, but quickly builds into heavier beats and more intense sounds. Expect a lot of variety, but at the same time, overall coherence.

I have a couple of those tracks but I like the sound of the comp. On the D/L. PS Megaupload is usually better for upping to, faster speeds and they rarely run out of download slots!
