This was brilliant, will definitely need to be getting some more. I've heard Game of Pricks somewhere before so that's the big favourite right now..

Well this is a threat I really enjoyed so far, so what the heck...I'll post one as well, and I hope you find it intriguing...

THE BEGINNER'S GUIDE TO PORCUPINE TREE

Well, this one of my favorite bands ever, and imo, probably the best act out there today. Most of you are already familiar with Mr Wilson and his band, so I compiled a list for the first-timers... It doesn't cover their whole work, but it's mostly a beginner's guide to create the curiosity to check out the whole albums which is after all the big idea I guess...

PT Guide

1. Open Car (Deadwing)
2. Blackest Eyes (In Absentia)
3. Sentimental (Fear Of A Blank Planet)
4. Arriving Somewhere But Not Here (Deadwing)
5. Lazarus (Deadwing)
6. The Rest Will Flow (Lightbulb Sun)
7. Waiting (Phase One) (Signify)
8. Start of Something Beautiful (Deadwing)
9. Normal (Nil Recurring (EP))
10. Trains (In Absentia)
11. Shesmovedon (Lightbulb Sun)
12. Stop Swimming (Stupid Dream)
13. Sleep Together (Fear Of A Blank Planet)
14. Feel So Low (Lightbulb Sun)

if there is any problem with the link, please PM me, first time I uploaded anything to Megaupload.

Good mix, I"d download it but I've already got their discography, but I implore everyone to download it.

fourteen songs and only early work?

PT is awesome but their early years were kickass. The Sky Moves Sideways was eargasmic.

you mean no early work don't you...?

I didn't pick any songs from the first two albums, cause they are actually Steven Wilson solo, his the only performer on the album, and as for The Sky Moves Sideways, all the songs which I like are way to long for a compilation

Thanks so much for the Muse and Porcupine Tree mixes, guys. I've been wanting to get into these bands for a while now.

The Beginner’s Guide to…

Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds

This may be the most useless beginner’s guide as of yet, but for those 2 who haven’t bothered checking out The Bad Seeds, here is a little compilation for you. I decided to upload two lists, allowing you to check out both sides of the band. Some will probably complain that some choices are too mainstream, or I didn’t include their fave song, well **** you .

Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds…
Track then album year

Saint Huck - From Here To Eternity (1984)
Tupelo - The First Born Is Dead (1985)
Hard On For Love - Your Funeral My Trial (1986)

The Hammer Song - The Good Son (1990)
Papa Won’t Leave You, Henry - Henry's Dream (1992)
Loverman - Let Love In (1994)
The Curse Of Millhaven - Murder Ballads (1996)
