You're right about Nocturama, it has a couple of really good songs on it but otherwise it's a pretty lame album - somehow manages to be overlong and rushed at the same time. |

well i was looking over some of the beginners comps that i submitted and realized that probably not many people checked them out because of the large number of songs i submitted. so, i decided to revamp a few with less songs and switch/omit a few from previously into a new collection.
so i'll start with The Beginner's Guide To Clutch
![]() This Maryland based group has been in the music business since they hit the DC hardcore scene in 1990. an astounding 20 years and 19 releases later, they have cultivated a strong cult following for their brand of bluesy rock, which also takes elements of metal, punk, stoner rock, funk and mixing them together with Zeppelinesque mysticism and lyrics that can range from stories of mythology and history to twisted and cryptic tales and adventures. if you've been wondering why i love this group so much, take a listen to this collection. American Sleep~Pure Rock Fury Mercury~Blast Tyrant The Elephant Riders~The Elephant Riders Rock N Roll Outlaw~Clutch Gullah~Robot Hive/Exodus Juggernaut~Pitchfork and Lost Needles 12 Ounce Epilogue~Transnational Speedway League:Anthems, Anecdotes and Undeniable Truths Careful With The Mic... ~Pure Rock Fury White's Ferry~From Beale Street To Oblivion Worm Drink~Blast Tyrant Willie Nelson~Slow Hole To China Basket of Eggs~Jam Room Droid~Clutch Release the Kraken~Jam Room Spacegrass [Live]~Pure Rock Fury Wysiwyg~Blast Tyrant now, for the second time, enjoy ![]() MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

In the interest of keeping it short and sweet, I included only my favorite movements of the selected works. I hope the formatting is okay. Enjoy! 1. Don Giovanni - Overture 2. Requiem - Introitus 3. Requiem - Dies Irae 4. Requiem - Lacrimosa 5. Le Nozze Di Figaro - Overture 6. Piano Concerto No. 20 (1st Movement) 7. Piano Concerto No. 21 (2nd Movement) 8. Symphony No. 25 (1st Movement) 9. Symphony No. 38 (1st Movement) 10. Symphony No. 39 (2nd Movement) 11. Symphony No. 40 (1st Movement) 12. i'd just like to re-iterate that gunnels' flawless Rush compilation changed my life forever since you philistines seem to have ignored it.
And Party Ranger! Classical belongs on budget-range CD's, shame on you ![]() I particularly recommend the Naxos library, they are cheap and performances tend to use acclaimed orchestras/composers. So no 'Jimmy Kong and the Trinidad Youth Orchestra'. |

The Beginner's Guide to Jonathan Coulton
Jonathan Coulton is probably best known for his song work at the end of Valve's 2007 surprise hit "Portal". He also does a back page in Popular Science and proved that you don't need a record label to become popular. All his stuff is self released from his website (Jonathan Coulton). He use to post his songs up for free download, but after his popularity began to rise he now charges, something I'm happy to pay because his work is top notch. His topics range from the joys of being a computer programmer to bacteria, witty and at times very dark, he is not a musician to be passed up. Track Listing: Still Alive Code Monkey Skullcrusher Mountain RE: Your Brains Tom Cruise Crazy Ikea Creepy Doll Baby Got Back (Sir Mix-A-Lot Cover) The Presidents The Future Soon I Feel Fantastic Awesomeness Here |
