Alice In Chains  One of my favorite bands, Alice in Chains was a big part of the Grunge scene with there most popular album Dirt. They were originally advertised as a heavy metal band before Facelift 9There debut) was released. In 2002 Layne Staley (lead singer) died of an overdose and they have gotten back together since 2005 with a new vocalist. "Alice in Chains is an American rock band formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1987 by guitarist Jerry Cantrell and vocalist Layne Staley. Although widely associated with grunge music, the band's sound incorporates heavy metal and acoustic elements."
