I have to say that I really like this compilation. A couple of intersting finds already!

Just so everyone knows, I submitted a song to this compilation.

Is anyone else having trouble downloading this? It gives me a download time of like five and a half hours and then after a couple minutes it just times out and stops.

Haven't got 'round to giving the comp a spin just yet, but I'm guessing Slightly Stoopid is Jackhammer's? |

3 hours without being guessed, not too bad :D

Mediafire link up now.

champ!

Hey, can I make a request for future comps? WMA files are not easily playable for a lot of people (including me) and I think MP3s are a little more universally playable. Would it be possible for people to try and convert their files to MP3s before submitting them to Jackhammer? It's not that big a deal and there was only one song on this comp that I ran into this problem with ("Something Is Squeezing My Skull") but it would just make life easier if they were all in a format that's fully useable for everyone.

And holy cow, this Rico track is crazy. |

I was under the impression that Slightly Stoopid were some second rate ska-Punk band but that track suggest otherwise! I really like it! Could the person responsible please report to Jackhammer with further info. You know who you are!
|
I guess that Slightly Stoopid is FaSho.
|
Are we all just guessing and not listening to it? :(
|
No. I'm listening to it.

2. Solid Morrissey and I love the lyrics. I have a feeling that their meaning may be lost on a few. 3. Sounds a little like N.I.N but the strings add another layer. Lyrically solid too. 4. Those Asian vocals and offbeats redefine 'kooky'. I like this a lot. it's unpredictable. 5. Not what I would normally listen to and I just couldn't get into it. 6. I thought this band were a Ska band? not on the evidence of this track. Reminds me of Transglobal Underground. I really like this track. 7. This one is a little too lengthy but love that waca waca guitar! 8. Classic Northern Soul. Pity about the SQ. However that is to be expected. 9. This is cliched but I really liked it. I loved the production on this. The guitars have a great sound. 10. This very nearly drops into cliched pop chart RnB territory but the vocal work keeps me interested throughout. Intrigued for sure. 11. Probably my favourite. I love the melancholic vibe and twisted vocals. 12. This would work better in a film soundtrack- in fact it sounds like it MUST be in one! |
Are those observations based on one listen?
