I have to say that I really like this compilation. A couple of intersting finds already!

Zarko 03-06-2009 06:59 AM

Downloading... Though not knowing anyone's specific music tastes as of yet, it may prove a little difficult :p:

khfreek 03-06-2009 07:49 AM

Just so everyone knows, I submitted a song to this compilation.

Yeah it was your brother mate.

Janszoon 03-06-2009 11:55 AM

Is anyone else having trouble downloading this? It gives me a download time of like five and a half hours and then after a couple minutes it just times out and stops.

Yeah same here. I will try Mediafire although they can be sucky. I would do Rapidshare as I have an account but d/l speeds are sucky for non members. Give me 20 mins.

Cool. I'm looking forward to giving this one a listen.

Garsh tarnit, I'm always one of the first out :(

Haven't got 'round to giving the comp a spin just yet, but I'm guessing Slightly Stoopid is Jackhammer's?

I thought people would say that!.......wrong! :D It's not mine! MF up on way but that is quite slow too :( but faster then MU.

Piss Me Off 03-06-2009 12:37 PM

3 hours without being guessed, not too bad :D

jackhammer 03-06-2009 01:25 PM

Mediafire link up now.

Molecules 03-06-2009 01:31 PM

champ!

Janszoon 03-06-2009 01:46 PM

Hey, can I make a request for future comps? WMA files are not easily playable for a lot of people (including me) and I think MP3s are a little more universally playable. Would it be possible for people to try and convert their files to MP3s before submitting them to Jackhammer? It's not that big a deal and there was only one song on this comp that I ran into this problem with ("Something Is Squeezing My Skull") but it would just make life easier if they were all in a format that's fully useable for everyone.

Gratsi! Just downloaded it.

Alfred 03-06-2009 02:22 PM

I'm on this shizz!

Double X 03-06-2009 02:25 PM

I like this one more than the February one. Mine hasn't been in any of these though :(

I did send you a PM regarding your sent track as it didn't download properly but you didn't reply!

WWWP 03-06-2009 03:08 PM

Hot Water Music - Alfred?
I really like the Rico track, but I've no idea who's it is.

I liked it, it's definitely a keeper. I listen that Bloody Hollies track you submitted for the last comp a lot. I even put it on a mixtape for a friend. :)

Alfred 03-06-2009 03:34 PM

That's good to hear. :)

And holy cow, this Rico track is crazy.

My bad then - I think iTunes does that, and I don't get pms anymore. I need to read them from my email for some reason.

jackhammer 03-06-2009 03:55 PM

I was under the impression that Slightly Stoopid were some second rate ska-Punk band but that track suggest otherwise! I really like it! Could the person responsible please report to Jackhammer with further info. You know who you are!

Alfred 03-06-2009 04:36 PM

I guess that Slightly Stoopid is FaSho.

jackhammer 03-06-2009 04:43 PM

Are we all just guessing and not listening to it? :(

Alfred 03-06-2009 04:48 PM

No. I'm listening to it.

1. Love this. Sweet Jazz vibe that reminds me off a rain soaked walk through a neon city.
2. Solid Morrissey and I love the lyrics. I have a feeling that their meaning may be lost on a few.
3. Sounds a little like N.I.N but the strings add another layer. Lyrically solid too.
4. Those Asian vocals and offbeats redefine 'kooky'. I like this a lot. it's unpredictable.
5. Not what I would normally listen to and I just couldn't get into it.
6. I thought this band were a Ska band? not on the evidence of this track. Reminds me of Transglobal Underground. I really like this track.
7. This one is a little too lengthy but love that waca waca guitar!
8. Classic Northern Soul. Pity about the SQ. However that is to be expected.
9. This is cliched but I really liked it. I loved the production on this. The guitars have a great sound.
10. This very nearly drops into cliched pop chart RnB territory but the vocal work keeps me interested throughout. Intrigued for sure.
11. Probably my favourite. I love the melancholic vibe and twisted vocals.
12. This would work better in a film soundtrack- in fact it sounds like it MUST be in one!

4ZZZ 03-06-2009 05:48 PM

Are those observations based on one listen?

No. 3 times for me and 2 of them are mine! I have had to be impartial.
