There isa flac file but i'm not sure if that was included as it's not showing up on my player so I have left it out of these tracklistings. Could someone LMK when they download it whether there is a flac file please?

Molecules 03-20-2009 02:38 PM

Cheers to all the mad March children of MB

I wanted a pony but noo...

jackhammer 03-20-2009 02:55 PM

Links up people!

Janszoon 03-20-2009 04:54 PM

Really looking forward to this one!

I can see the flac file but I don't think I can do anything with it. :( Also, like I mentioned with the last comp, you people are killing me with these wma files.

I use foobar which plays everything (including the flac file) and I tried to convert the wma file but I needed to D/L a few other things in order to do this so I gave up as i can play it anyhow! I'm sure I Tunes can convert the file?

Alfred 03-20-2009 05:46 PM

:(

So I guess mine will be on the April comp?

Nope, iTunes can't even open the file. The only way I can listen to wma file is to play it in the media player that my computer uses for video. Other than that, I can't do anything with it. I'm pretty sure I can't even open it in any of the sound recording software I have.

Anyway, I appreciate the effort. No need for you to download stuff just to convert it. :)

Mojo 03-20-2009 05:56 PM

I havent downloaded this yet, Ill do it tomorrow after some solid sleep but I'm gonna make one guess right now - Charlotte Hatherley is Molecules?

4ZZZ 03-20-2009 06:11 PM

Happy birthdays to you all and happy listening. Looking forward to this.

Are we going to post a list of contributors eventually jackhammer?

NSW 03-20-2009 06:41 PM

I seem to remember Savannah talking about Moe before...so I wanna say she contributed that track.

Thanks for forgetting about me :(

jackhammer 03-20-2009 06:46 PM

Disclaimer: it seems like every fecking member on MB was born in march and I may have forgot a few. My mod powers does not stretch to a month by month breakdown of birthdays. If you are not on there: Happy F'ing Birthday. Now stop complaining and get listening!

NSW 03-20-2009 06:53 PM

4ZZZ 03-20-2009 07:04 PM

Haa haa! When you get to my age B/days are now those horrible thoughts about getting old.

jackhammer 03-20-2009 07:05 PM

Oh I am dreading mine this weekend but I console myself with the fact that I dont look or act it (I Hope!)

Janszoon 03-20-2009 08:35 PM

Well I still get excited about my birthdays.

Zarko 03-20-2009 08:46 PM

Jeez this one is pretty difficult.. None just jump out as a specific person as of yet...

28 mins though... Jeez

4ZZZ 03-21-2009 02:07 AM

On one listen this is up to the usual fantastic eclectic standard.

Janszoon 03-21-2009 02:20 AM

I'm guessing the White Noise track is Jackhammer. Love that album by the way.

Oh and I think the Baaba Maal track is Bulldog.

$£&$&^*$$&"£! .... yes. I love her

there were always going to be a lot of March birthdays forgotten, all the vigorous f*cking happens in June evidently. June is the new March! So happy birthday to those people, I'm sure when compiling this JH wasn't intent on slighting anyone, just stop moaning and download your present :p:

I'd rather this tbh than real-life people awkwardly giving me last-minute gifts wrapped in newspaper and reminding me that I'm about to be 23 and haven't got a degree, paid for my parent's retirement or maintained a steady relationship with a member the opposite sex **

so yeah bring awn the choons!

Happy birthday guys

I can guess one or two, but I'll play fair and wait 'til I've given the comp a few spins first.

Yeah, that's me. Check out 2:40something - one of my favourite ever sax solos that.

No it's not mine although like yourself I have the album and it's a belter.

Piss Me Off 03-21-2009 08:39 AM

I'm at a complete loss with basically all of these, apart from maybe the Manics track which i think is Mojo.
Good comp though, ecclectic like the others but i felt this one mixed together effortlessly. The first 3 tracks were like silk. Only downside, the last track. TOO LONG.

Mojo 03-21-2009 08:42 AM

Yeah Manics track was me, just for those unfortunate ones who maybe still arent familar with the awesomeness that was The Manics before Everything Must Go.

Zarko 03-21-2009 08:50 AM

Seriously difficult :p: I am pretty sure any guess would be off the mark by a bit...

John Kirkpatrick - 4ZZZ?

jackhammer 03-21-2009 08:50 AM

Tracks 12 and 3 are fantastic- I want up's! It also needs a couple more listens yet. Love that dusty old blues track too.

god help them, I've still yet to watch the DVD disc of the Holy Bible reissue :D

I'm also mostly clueless, because the contributors have sufficient range to be able to switch it up and really aren't easy to pin down unless you've heard mention in a thread somewhere.

However i'm guessing righttrack is responsible for Professor Longhair (old time soul/funk), PMO for the Residents (he had a phase not long ago) and White Noise is almost certainly Demonoid.

Really cracking listen this time around as well

jackhammer 03-21-2009 09:01 AM

Right track never contributes :( and neither did demonoid this time around. Correct for The Residents though.

John Kirkpatrick - 4ZZZ?
This

And is Eddie Vinson - Toretorden?

I think it's because so many people get married in June. People throw caution to the wind on their honeymoon or anniversary and next thing you know they have a new family member.

September's a pretty popular month as well... New Years celebrations and all :p:

Demonoid 03-21-2009 09:45 AM

Cracking mix this and happy b'day to you all! I must admit though, some of it didn't do much for me I'm afraid :(. But this is more about the randomness than anything else :D. Anyways -

Macelleria Mobile De Mezzanotte - L'ultimo Vero Bacio
Zarko

White Noise - Love Without Sound
Anteater

moe. - Tailspin
Rezz

Ludichrist
- Games Once Played
Janszoon

That's all I could possibly think of. Hmm, more guesses later :p:.

Sorry but nope.

Zarko 03-21-2009 09:48 AM

How the hell'd ya know that? :p: (ie guessed correct Demonoid)

Good guess either way

Janszoon 03-21-2009 09:54 AM

I'm loving the Residents song! Believe it or not this is actually the first thing I've ever heard by them. I've always wanted to check them out though, and this song makes me even more interested. So if PMO, or anyone else for that matter, feels like educating me I'd be much obliged. :)

Demonoid 03-21-2009 09:55 AM

Hehehe, just pure luck I suppose. Couldn't think of anyone else from the usual contributors other than you! Great song too .

Sure, expect something in a little bit.
