^I think this too, there was no reply on it.

Other guesses:

Remedy >> MRR ADM (cz nothing ID3ed in that thing)
Stone Birds >> Thrice
Zarko >> Shinjuku Thief
Tore >> The Residents

Edit: Any comments on the songs for now (other than the comp in general) ?

Great job! All four guesses are correct :) Considering submissivewife busted Jackhammer on the previous page, there's only one song left which will have to belong to LoathsomePete, The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble's The Nothing Changes. Grats on guessing everyone :)

I went with The Residents' Lizard Lady basically to add a little variety to the comp as it had a lot of ambient tracks.

Lizard Lady is one of my absolute favourite Residents songs and one of the first I heard from them some 10 years ago now. Before it was so familiar to me, I thought it was quite eerie and I know for a fact that girlfriends tend to hate it. The song is almost funny, but never quite - ending up more in creepy land, something The Residents are quite good at.

Seems like I had all the fun to myself. Thought of finishing it off tho, before December's comp.

Anyway, loved that Lizard Lady track. One of the fun songs on that comp, while preserving its eeriness.
Well the comp is all in all good, enjoyed every track, and there was some kind of gloomy creepiness surrounding it (which is definitely good).
Other tracks I liked would be, Spectre Vs Rector, The Dead Suite, The Nothing Changes and The Darkened Psalm.
There are many new bands that I'll certainly check out.

Yep, now it is - in our newish forum! :D

The reason it was unstickied was there were so many compilation threads stickied in the general music forum. Now Yac's turned the little used soundtracks forum into a soundtracks & compilations forum, so anything that has to do with compilations will be done here in the future.

Thats probably what makes the themes more interesting - Interpretation of the songs on a personal level. ie my submission to the cyberpunk compilation.

CanwllCorfe 12-17-2009 07:41 PM

Yeah that's true. Horror is right up my alley so I needed to contribute something.

I felt that mine too was very different from the rest, but I really liked how the compilation worked out as a whole.

Note: Yeayy! Zarko finally has an avatar!
