I've taken this only four hours ago:

I swear to Zeus it is totally natural (only resized in order to upload it). BTW, the best music inspired by these skies is Irish (listen to this). Johnny Cunningham saw the "phenomenon" (in that case it was a sunrise) with his own eyes and then he composed that beautiful piece. :)

We had a snow storm Monday. 3-6 inches I think, that's a snow storm in Seattle. And because the earth is not frozen, the first layer freezes and creates a thin layer of ice that more snow falls onto...making a mess on these hills. Anyway I don't drive so it's all fun and games for me. Here are some pics from Monday and Tuesday.

At the lake near work:

WOW s_k, those are fantastic photos! I'm very impressed, especially since we seem to have the same interest in subject matter (nature, automobiles, cityscapes & architecture). Makes me really want to get a decent camera.

Don't underestimate the power of the dead cheap Canon EOS 300D (Digital Rebel where you come from :)). I now own a 30D, but a lot of those pictures are made with my 300D. Overhere you can buy them second hand for as little as €100 (about 125 dollars). There's pretty neat Canon lenses (i.e. 28-90mm) for prices as low as €50 (about 65 dollars).
It doesn't necessarily have to be expensive you know :).

I have a 300D lying around out of work.
I'm not sure how much it would cost to get it to the USA and I'm not sure if the battery charger works (230v here). But if you're interested I guess we could find out :).

If you want a newer camera, I must say I really like the affordable Pentaxes. Their pictures are a bit 'brownish', 'warm', but they make really nice pictures for the money they cost.

About the pictures: Thanks, really. That's nice of you.
Please show me yours :)

I really like the expression on the face of the girl in the first picture.
Is that you? Or is it a model? :)
