Remember what happened in 2006. I have a sneaky feeling that the Heat are going to get some assistance against the Mavs just like last time.

Also does anyone else think that the Cavs got two picks in the top 5 to make Gilbert STFU. I remember him threatening to get a private investigator against Lebron and the Heat a while back for tampering.

Let Cleveland have their time in the spotlight man. Maybe now they can channel all the energy and time they spend hating the Heat and Lebron to something positive. I think they've been screwed over and shoved to the back of the line long enough. The city as a whole doesnt have anything to root for sports wise. Maybe this will ease the pain of losing LBJ and give them a lil hitch in their giddyup again. Im happy to see them prosper a lil bit and finally be able to turn the page.

To touch on Dirks performance from last night..some are calling it the best playoff game in NBA history. Woody Page from around the horn to be specific but I strongly disagree. Was it outstanding? Yes..but its almost like its the best meaningless performance in a playoff game to me. If it were game 7 and their was a lil more urgency to win cause its due or die time then maybe. Still ive seen Jordan hit bigger clutch shots and Reggie Miller as well just to name a couple. Albeit 24/24 from the freethrow line is just phenominal and unheard of...hell doing that in practice is unheard of much less in the playoffs. Granted the magnitude of the game isnt a game 7 or must win yet but still. Good job Dirk but is it worthy of being called the best playoff game in history? No...no. Greatest individual effort in a playoff game...possibly.

Tonights game two of the heat and The Bulls and im looking forward to it. In a way im leary because i know the heat have made adjustments and they will definatley come out swinging. Wade and james should be way more aggressive and be out for blood this game. I was impressed with the Bulls d on them in game one but I seriosly doubt thay will have that luxury again. As far as them being passive and not attacking and just settling for trying to get something out of isolation.

I think Heat win tonight. I have a feeling Wade and LeBron will live at the foul line tonight. They will be extra agressive and the refs will cater to them. Nobody here should fool themselves into thinking the refs aren't a huge part in determining who wins games. The NBA wants every series to go 7 game if possible. Unless the Heat absolutely come out and flop dead, I don't think they can lose this game.

They had the spotlight when Lebron James was there carrying them deep in the playoffs.

They had the best record in the fucking league the 2 previous years. They couldn't get it done with the best player in basketball so he left. They have no one else to blame but themselves.

Bullsht.

The Cleveland Indians have the best record in baseball right now.

Or they could stop being bitches.

Buffalo has had a worse sports history than Cleveland yet you don't see people over their whining nearly as much as Cleveland fans.

I'm happy Cleveland got the top pick (and the number 4 pick). Nothing will ever be a conslation for losing LeBron James. That will seriously haunt that city forever. Human freaks of nature who are 6 foot 8 and 250 pounds who are from Akron don't come along...ever. It's the Cavs management's fault though. They never put a great team around LeBron and they had plenty of time to do it.

Cleveland is a terrible sports city, but their running back is on the cover of Madden this year (yeah that's not anything amazing like a superbowl but it's something), and yes the Indians are 1st place right now even though i highly doubt they win the division. I view Cleveland as just a really shitty and depressive town. So I am glad things look better for them.

I'm sure they'll take Kyrie Irving with the 1st overall pick. If not, consider them retards. It's the worst draft in a decade, but there's still talent at the top. I don't know what they'll do with the #4 pick, maybe trade it for a big man. With Irving, JJ Hickson and whoever they draft at 4 or trade the pick for, they have 3 young legit guys to build around. The east sucks ass so I don't think they are like lightyears away from the playoffs or anything.

Yep.

They should take Irving and trade the #4 for something useful(future picks or players). This draft is crap after the top two or three, I have no idea about Kanter.

I think the Heat win tonight, it's a must win for them.

I think foreign guys are always the biggest risk/reward type of players. Most flop in the NBA, and everyone hopes they land the next Dirk or Ginobili. In reality, most teams get Darko Milicic. If I were a GM, I'd just stay away from a guy like Kanter. He's young, big, skilled, but American hoops is a lot different than foreign hoops and the Cavs can't be risking so much on someone with such a good chance of being a bust. I don't really know what the value of the #4 pick would be though. Maybe they can find a team who overpays. They might as well cut Baron Davis, I'm not sure why any team would really want him on their roster to be honest.

The short time LBj was there was just enough tease for them to suffer twice as bad when he left. Cause then they realize just how hopless Cleveland is without him. Getting lead to the playoffs only to see them lose doesnt exzactly stand out in your mind as one of your citys better moments either. Not to mention Micheal Jordan couldnt have won a ring with the cast of players they surounded LBJ with. I wont get into the whole him leaving and reasons crap again. As far as the Indians im not up to par with baseball so i cant really say. However if they were keeping the citys head above water hopes wise I dont think LBJ leaving would have stung quite so bad man.

Then theres the Browns and I dont even have to say anything there I dont think. Jim Brown and that was how many years ago since he played? But thats just my opinion..cut the underdog city some slack. Its not a major market city with endless amounts of money and choices to choose from.

Depends. When the Knicks were a great team in the mid-late 90's I rather enjoyed those times even though they never won squat. Hell I look at those times with fond memories.

That's not anyone else's fault but the Cleveland Cavaliers. They couldn't get the job done and paid the price.

WTF?

How in the hell is a team playing right now supposed to retroactively make people feel better a year ago?

The Browns sucking is only the fault of the Browns.

Also no I will not be cutting them some slack (except for baseball due to whole no salary cap thing). They need to stop sucking. The end.
