Wow, tough to give up Deng for Bynum but throw in those picks and its a decent deal. Think I would have stuck with Deng.

Thom Yorke 01-07-2014 08:43 AM

Always loved Deng's game. Him being an expiring contract eases the pain, but Bynum is the type of player that could shake the team up in a very negative way, whereas Deng is the complete opposite. I wouldn't have done the trade.

if im the cavs i do the trade, if im the bulls im not sure.

bulls have already waived bynum, he will never play for them. so they gave away deng (who they couldnt resign) for basically a bunch of mediocre-bad picks. i guess the kings pick is protected too so pretty much all these picks are 2nd round or late 1st

cavs get a great small forward which they desperately needed and now look like a verrrry solid team on paper. and gettin rid of bynum is a plus

a shame bynum has such a bad attitude, he literally could have been a hall of famer, i believe he is that good. now i dont think he will play again. hes only like 26ish

Bulls have a bigger problem, Rose is simply not a winner. Amazing point guard yes but not a winner.

He can't stay healthy long enough to show whether he is a winner or not.

Bynum really could have been a force in the league if he had his head on right.

"Bynum is expected to clear waivers and become a free agent by the end of the week. Though he was suspended by the Cavs for one game for conduct detrimental to the team and excused from team activities, he is expected to be chased on the open market. The Los Angeles Clippers, Miami Heat and New York Knicks are among the teams expected to consider offering him a landing spot."

O god, please not the Heat. I have little doubt that in a great environment he is a very good player, and their bigs have been their weakness.

My Suggestions

How about team contraction? to improve the quality of play scale back about 4 or 5 teams who is watching Memphis, Orlando, Milwaukee, Charlotte, New Orleans, Sacramento

debaserr 01-11-2014 08:48 AM

Memphis has had a decent run the last few years, just not this one.

I think it sounds good but I can't see it happening.

butthead aka 216 01-12-2014 08:35 AM

i dont imagine anyone would even notice if the bucks or bobcats got contracted lol

cavs made out like bandits in that bynum deal. i wanna see them succeed.

but its the heats title to lose

The Raptors are in kind of an interesting position right now. With how terrible the East is, they can actually win their division and a playoff round right now. They are absolutely no threat to beat the Heat or Pacers, but it might be good for the franchise to actually see what winning feels like.

On the other hand, if they don't make the playoffs, they have a shot at a Canadian who is a legit first overall-caliber player. The problem with the Raptors when they get a superstar is that they always want to bolt for the States. Wiggins likely wouldn't do that.

What would you want if you were a fan of the team: tank for a shot at Wiggins (if you actually believe any of these lotteries are rigged, you'd better believe Wiggins would be a Raptor), or try to get a playoff series win under their belt?
