Hey Dac

Nice job citing 82games.com

That site is amazing, look at Lebron's numbers in the clutch.

Expanded to a full game Lebron averages 52 points 14 rebounds and 13 assists in the last five minutes of close games.

That's nuts!

Yeah how'd the Lakers do again that season?

Dac, Shaq is one of the few people in the NBA with a bigger ego than Kobe, if you're gonna blame anyone blame him.

So, the Hornets took a giant dump on the court last night.

Yeah well Kobe ran him out of town because he thought he could do it all on his own... and it wasn't until the Lakers got another all star big man in Gasol that they were relevant again, hmm...

Shaq WAS that team. Kobe should have taken the back seat to him like stockton did malone, and he's still considered one of the best players ever. It's all Kobe's ego (not to say Shaq didn't have one too) but I mean look at the facts, Lakers with Shaq = Awesome/ Lakers without Shaq = Broke. Not to mention Shaq went straight to Miami and brought them a championship. Kobe is nothing but an attention whore, I don't understand how fans can even like him. He hurts the team more than anything.

Pau Gasol is the MVP of the lakers now, as was Shaq when he was there. No big man = no playoffs for lakers.

They had 45 wins and 37 losses and made the playoffs.

Ha, I saw that. Nuggets nearly doubled the Hornets point total. Shame too, I was hoping the Hornets would tie up the series.

Lakers before Kobe (which included Shaq) didn't win any championships. And I don't understand how having a competitive nature makes you an attention whore, how exactly does he pine for attention?

No Kobe = no playoffs for Lakers.

So Pau Gasol added 20 wins in his first full season with the Lakers... that's a pretty big f'n difference.

Ummm no. Kobe was on the Lakers before Shaq.

How about the time where he demanded a trade? Or when he raped a girl and got away with it? Or when he called Bynum the worst center in the league?

Yeah, how many games do you figure the Lakers would win without Kobe?

We're both wrong, it was the same season. Still, my point is valid. You can't compare how well Shaq would do on the team without Kobe, so it's not a fair comparison.

I'm pretty sure attention was the last thing he wanted in those cases, at least the latter two.

Also, you're posts have seemed to taken on a snotty, superior tone to them. It should be a friendly conversation, chill.

The point is they aren't an elite team without an elite big man.

No you're wrong. Kobe was there for 3 years before Shaq. L2 wikipedia or something haha.

The idea is that he draws a lot of negative attention to himself, intentional and otherwise.
