^ there's two possible results

1. Spurs win
2. Heat/refs/NBA conspiracy

Spurs were the better team last night, no question. Their passing was unbelievable.

Wpnfire 06-11-2014 08:13 PM

So uh yeah, the heat are reportedly going to pursue Melo in the offseason. We could be looking at the 'Big 4' next year.

Melo has to be a free agent though. I can't fathom him staying with the coach-less Knicks.

Moss 06-11-2014 08:30 PM

No way Melo will take that big of a pay hit to play with Miami.

Isn't that what people said about LeBron though in 2010?

Melo's running out of time honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if he at least considers it.

You should take your own advice.

I already admitted Duncan should have made those free throws but no I am not going to sit here and pretend horrible calls were not made.

The Spurs are going to win, that is if the NBA/dirty refs don't have their way.

Even last game they made bad calls so the Heat could catch up. I think they do that to make it more "entertaining" but everyone knows the Spurs are the better team.

Miami stans are something else (this is not directed towards you). They were insiting the Spurs beat them last game by "luck". You don't slaughter by 20+ points by luck in the first quarter.

Soulflower 06-12-2014 08:46 AM

When the Heat loses, they are going to split that team up.

Doesn't Lebron's contract expire this year?

If you are such a great player, you should not have to beg other superstar players to play with you just for a ring. You should want to play against them.

Ninetales 06-12-2014 09:17 AM

Hello. I dont follow basketball nearly enough to be involved in serious discussions here (lol) but i just wanted to say this is one of my favorite threads to look at atm. realtalk's posts mirror one of my buddies' dads views (except in hockey) so much that its hysterical. Except he has atleast a little self-awareness. Still, this is what the internet was made for and its great to watch when not emotionally attached haha. So yeah thanks everyone

Soulflower 06-12-2014 10:13 PM

Soulflower 06-12-2014 10:15 PM

No competition

Spurs 107 Heat 86

The refs TRIED but we weren't having it!

GO SPURS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so glad I will be crying tears of joy instead of sadness. You guy deserves this, love you forever!!

Sparky 06-12-2014 10:24 PM

Didn't catch the game.

Someone care to clue me in? Why are they losing like this? Mario Chalmers still invisible? Spoelstra's "bullpin" not coming through?

Soulflower 06-12-2014 10:30 PM

They're losing because their not that good...plain and simple.

The Heat should have been swept but game two was rigged I keep trying to tell ya'll.

The Heat is being "exposed". I already knew they weren't all of that but people can really see it now.

Sparky 06-12-2014 10:37 PM

I'm guessing long numbers ingame are taking their toll on starters, getting tired. From what I read Miami just can't keep up in terms of energy. dwade doesn't have much left.\

Still think Miami can take this to 7, and lose

I don't

Wpnfire 06-12-2014 10:47 PM

I watched the first half of the game and that was it. Yeah Chalmers was awful, and Wade looked wretched.

Even with Dwyane wade being healthier this year than he's been the past few seasons, he's still tired at this stage. The spurs have a deeper bench with players like Leonard, green, mills, the list goes on and on..and green and Leonard have improved basically two fold in all areas since lat year. Green's scored off the dribble a couple of times and that makes it so difficult to guard him when he's hotter-than-the-surface-of-the-sun from 3.

And as for leonard...

Paul Smeenus 06-12-2014 10:50 PM

Leonard has been playing out of his brain. I think it'll all be over on Saturday

Wpnfire 06-12-2014 10:58 PM

**** it. I'll just make a new post because of how long it took me to find this..

http://giant.gfycat.com/PastHardtofindFlounder.gif

1. zero attempt to box out leonard

2. this is sick.

3. Ginobili momentarily has that "where the f did that come from?" look right after leonard throws it down lol.

Soulflower 06-12-2014 11:13 PM

It's over LOL anybody thinking otherwise is kidding themselves....

Miami doesn't have a bench and Wade is hurt.

The Spurs are the better team. Even last year they were the better team.

The Spurs are sending a message and that message is WE ARE THE BETTER TEAM.

We hear you loud and clear Spurs!

debaserr 06-13-2014 04:41 PM

LMAO @ that Bosh pic.

I think the Heat pursuing Carmelo at this point to be dumb. They, and every other team needs to be recruiting Kevin Love.

Nah dude K-Love is coming to the Lake Show. The Spurs look like a dominant force right now. That field goal percentage is unbelievable and second chance shots are killing Miami beyond that. They look a step behind and they're being outplayed in every category. Still think Miami could make it interesting if they could shoot the rock at a decent percentage, they've had lots of open looks they normally hammer down.

Paul Smeenus 06-13-2014 04:52 PM

I don't think Miami has as good a chance as the Rangers at this point. I expect both series to go one more game.

Engine 06-15-2014 09:16 PM

We got this. Follow my lead.

America lost to the international basketball league D:

just joking. Good on the spurs, who's their shooting coach? that dude needs a promotion.

On to the next order of business then.

Odds for LeBron staying. I'll be bold and say he stays.

This is why I will never understand why anybody would compare him to the great legendary players of the past. They never hopped from team to team for a championship. They never tried to form a "superstar" team for a championship. Lebron is wack. He thinks he can "buy" his championships instead of investing in a organization and team to earn one. I will never understand the respect he receives. He is so overrated. I am glad he lost. He didn't deserve it. He didn't deserve it last year.

Soulflower 06-16-2014 09:55 AM

Congrats Lenny for being the second youngest MVP in a finals Championship!!!

Whoop Whoop!!

That was a horrible analogy.

Lebron moved to Miami for a championship and he is going to move again for another championship, yes thats wack. He has no sense of team sportsmanship and foundation. Thats all apart of being a great player. You have to build and support the players around you not always think about yourself and what you can get from something.

He has alot of growing up to do if he wants to win anymore championships in the future. A big reason why Miami lost besides being a wack team is because Lebron is not a good leader. He does not encourage his team to play better and to be better. All he does is whines and complains when HE doesn't get something.

Look at the Spurs, it had been a minute since they made the Finals and they are still on the same team. They still support and rally around one another on and off the court. They are a REAL team.

Soulflower 06-16-2014 10:21 AM

Its more to what makes a "great team" besides being on a team with other superstars or other good players.

How is this different then moving for a better employment opportunity? (its not)

He doesnt owe anyone anything. He should stay in Miami because you say it's the right thing to do? He shouldve stayed in Cleveland because you say he shouldve? Boy what a fun linear way to look at life as if it's as easy as "but but he has to stay with one team for his whole career because of some arbitrary rules i made up". Why is he obligated to make huge life decisions based on other people that dont directly affect the situation in any way? but yes im sure you are right and he is not an elite player because he hurt your feelings by being great on 2 teams. Good lord.

to me saying "im going to move my whole life to a new city for a chance to win" seems like a good leader to me

seems like you do most of the whining tbh. maybe its because youve moved in your life. do you even know about foundations???

mj played with better players than lebron ever has

Soulflower 06-16-2014 10:36 AM

Hopefully all the Heat bandwagoners will hush now.

Lebron is moving to another team

Wade is over

Chalmers and Battier will get traded

Bosh will probably stay

Pat Riley make them phone calls!
