I haven't watched as much hockey this season as I'd hoped. I got to play twice a week which felt really good.
I'm keeping tabs on two things as the playoff draws near - my Canadiens going "wrong for Wright", and keeping third place in my keeper pool. |
The Avalanche are just too fast and too good, I don't think the Lightning have a chance.
|
As much as it pains me to write this, les Nordiques are scary good. I think Tampa has a few more tricks up its sleeve.
It was so strange seeing the 7-0 beatdown. Vasilevsky looked human. |
No sooner do I say that the Lightning show their championship caliber 6-2, champions die hard
|
Holy crap! I'm just seeing this now. Tampa woke up. I would say that no lead is safe. I remember Edmonton and Calgary. Three goal leads disappeared in the blink of an eye.
|
The Avalanche just put a hammerlock on this series winning 3-2 in overtime to lead the series 3 games to 1, it could all be over on Friday.

I heard!
I see it was Kadri getting into more controversy, though it wasn't his fault this time. I haven't seen the replay, but I heard the Avs had six skaters on the ice. I wish we could go a full season without hearing about him and controversy. I'm not a fan of either team, but as a former goalie, him bowling over Binnington was just nasty. It reminded me of Krieder taking out Carey Price years ago. I don't wish anyone ill, but one would have to think that karma was at play when Kane took him out in round 3. Tampa has hardly any players left. It's over. |
Once again, champions die hard! Tampa wins game five 3-2, game 6 Sunday in Tampa.
|
It's incredible. They're not going down without a fight.
Visiting a friend this morning, he handed me a Stamkos jersey that his son outgrew. I'm not sure I want my kid wearing it. I like Stamkos, but this household cheers for one NHL team, and it's not Tampa. What to do???? |
