Layed the fuckin beats on LA friday night. On the scoreboard and VIA fist by SOB and Rypien. Hopefully we can end this series tonight.

Not gonna lie, I'm pretty happy to see the backside to Sutton, Ruutu & co. myself. Good to close up shop before the press starts nagging on why the Pens can't beat an overtly substandard team. Bring on the Bruins/Sabres! (I don't see the Habs coming back, sadly.)

Big 3rd period tonight to snatch this series and wait for our next round opponent. Good chance it'll be the Hawks we meet again in the second round.

The Sharks just played a hell of a series.

I give the Av's game one, handily; They went pound for pound with us and earned that win. Game two I'll call a draw; The shot differential was ridiculous, but the Av's made the most of their opportunities and held a late lead, so tie. After that, the series was absolutely dominated by the Sharks. I keep hearing "the Sharks could barely even beat Colorado, the youngest team (and blah blah blah)". That is re-donk-ulous. These people clearly did not watch the rest of the series, particularly any part of any game after Boyle's own goal/Reilly tip in debacle.

Nabby was stellar. Four goals given up in the final four games, and that's giving Reilly credit for the tip. Games 3-6 were played 75% of the time in the Colorado zone. We pounded shots, crashed the net, forechecked, dominated the boards, and put pucks past a solid netminder. Even when the games appeared close on the surface, it was pretty much Anderson robbing us blind and nothing else. Outplayed everywhere else.

All of this was done with a virtually invisible top line. Heatley was clearly not back to 100% after missing a game, he's definitely still fighting an injury; Marleau played scared; Thornton looked lost at times. But they're turning the corner, and now they get a few days off to rest up and hopefully Heater can heal up as well.

Games one and two the Sharks looked as though they would get swept in the second round, if they even made it that far. Genuinely piss poor play at times, and not even remotely the same caliber as the other Western Conference teams (I've watched virtually every single game in every single series now :) ). The latter four games, though, ohhhweee! If Nabby maintains form, and we get even half the normal production out of the top line, we can make a serious run.

Until then, I'm remaining cautiously pessimistic. I'm getting sick of a lot of posts I've seen from Sharks fans - "We're going to win the cup, everyone else can suck it. We're going to shit all over Detroit/Phoenix/Nashville."... Wake up Sharks fans- we have done absolutely NOTHING up to this point to have even a remote level of cockiness. You have to earn it. Until our boys go out there and actually deliver on what is promised, please SHUT THE HELL UP! Kthanks.

Go Sharkies! Viva Los Tiburones!!

Big game one in Chicago. Fuck you Pat Kane....fuck you.

Wow, the Canucks were hungry in that game.

Pavelski has activated beast mode. Of course, the game is marred by bad officiating. Detroit had, by my view, three pretty bad calls go against them. However, the officials gifted them a few makeups- like Marleau's "boarding" or Heatley's "goalie interference" (where he was blatantly knocked headfirst into Howard by a Wing).

Whatever, it is what it is... Up 2-0, steal one in Detroit and we can close this out at home in five :).

God I love Patty Kane. I would love him even more if he played in Buffalo. This is one hell of a series. What a wild game last night.

He is a Buffalo boy. I like Pat Kaleta and Tim Kennedy more, because they stuck in B-lo, not to mention Brooks Orpik in Pit. Us Buffalonians stick together hard.

Flyers could've drafted Kane
Spoiler: they didn't
