Well, they can't be that much more than Vancouver's prices are they?

All professional sports are beyond ridiculous when it comes to attending in person. As long as we keep feeding the machine we will justify their prices. And in cities like Toronto, I'd rather be out and about before the game starts. Then find a nice pub to watch the game, while enjoying a Reuben and a pitcher of Blue. Food and drink that won't keep my sons from attending college some day.

There's no place like being at the game though.

Agreed. Hockey is one sport that is equally great in person and on TV. Football, to me, is awful live. Baseball I prefer live and basketball just doesn't register on my radar. I've never been to Vancouver but I imagine it's just as electric on game night as Toronto, Montreal, Buffalo, and a handful of other cities. Texas really blows.

Well I'm only a couple hours from Vancouver but I might as well be on Mars for all the NHL coverage we get here in Seattle. I'm hoping the Sonics arena deal goes through soon so I can a. see an NHL game once in a while without having to get a hotel, and b. root for the Trailblazers when they come to town

I very much enjoy going to the Silvertips WHL games in Everett and it's very reasonable. You ever go to the Giants games, Dan?

I'm not sure. I've never looked at prices for Canucks games but I imagine they cost about the same. There's nothing like seeing games in person, but I don't want to practically empty my bank account in one transaction, lol.

Even Blue Jays games are getting expensive now. You used to be able to get nosebleed seats for $9 but I think it's gone up. My dad gets season tickets through his work though, which is nice.

Maple Leafs are the highest ticket prices in the NHL, Canucks are 5th highest.

No, unfortunately not. When I make the trip over to Van, or for a Canucks game or a concert. I live on the Island, an hour and a half north of Victoria. But now that the Royals are in Vic, its a lot easier to see the WHL, which is an incredible league.
