Oh, I do. Very deeply. Bread and circus, bread and circus.

Oh hey you know what's great about the circus? Critical Role cause one of the main party members is a circus member.

For real? Like Cirque du Soleil or some kind of P.T. Barnum derivative?

If you'd actually watched the first twenty minutes of that CR video then you'd know. The entire first storyline is inspired by one of the player's history working Renaissance fairs and growing up around carney folk. That particular player even uses tarot cards sometimes to make binary yes/no decisions in-game.

All decisions are binary

I did watch the first 20 minutes of it, though I will admit, I was attending to some e-mails and had it on in the background - I must have missed that detail. I was a legit carney though. Operated amusment rides. I will say, the Ferris Wheel is the most fun to operate because it requires math and and mental-record keeping to balance out the wheel (especially when it rains - and yes, some folks actually want to take a ferris wheel ride in the rain).

What about the biological decision of gender?

It was the entire plot of the first few episodes. The circus was in town and hey come see the circus.
