The American Football Thread
Season just started what do you think?
Who do you like? Bills fan here. |
I'm always rooting for the Chiefs, but I may as well be rooting for Christopher Reeve to be revived and walk again.
|
Ya I think a return of Superman is more likely this year

we could argue all day about this. but i'm right.
|
was the best QB.
I like Reggie Wayne alot this year. I dont believe in Joseph Addai what-so-ever though. |
its not addai. its our messed up line. 3(maybe 4) starters missing.

Pats have to take advantage of this weak schedule early on if they want to win the div... |

And with the Browns playing like... well the Browns of old, they won't make it (Had them penned as 9-7). Jags look in trouble with their Oline... Reckon Bills can quite easily grab that 6th spot if nothing falls apart injury-wise... Ten also look good but against total garbage so far, dunno how they will be able to set up a consistent offensive threat. |

he really cant throw the ball more than 20 yds, which doesnt matter much b/c of the system he is in. |
Quote:
Didn't say he could throw the ball long ;) :p: |

I had the Bills going 10-6 this year from the start, but I think they might blow that up only for the fact that they dont even play 6 more decent teams this year. Plus, the division is total garbage, thus decided after Miami just raped the Pats with redirect snaps all day. |

Buffalo looked decidedly average for much of the game against Oakland of all teams... Though I agree, looks an easy schedule... How dumb was that defense? Every time they got caught out by the direct snap to Brown... Funny stuff actually... They were all so slow. Not looking good for what is meant to carry the team for the rest of the year... |

Looked pretty average today... Eli was solid, running game was solid... Guess it was only a matter of time before the real Cincy passing game stepped out, Palmer had a nice game with Housh and co. Despite getting 6 sacks on him or so. A wins a wins a win at the end of the day... 3-0 can't complain. All gravy from here-on-in tbh considering last year :p |

Now Carney/Tynes kicks it wide right... But we're ahead by 14 points so it doesn't matter anyway :D Our team is pretty similar to those days (Smash mouth running game and good D with a solid QB)... Ya never know.... :p: |
Browns are pissing me off
Start Brady!!!!! |

The Oline has been a bit of a trouble, and DA has been under pressure, but half of his INT are purely misreads and bad throws... Those passes to Winslow were atrocious (13 targets, 2 catches but only 2 drops... Says a bit about DA's accuray) Edwards can't catch for the life of him atm either... Do you bring in Quinn this week though to face a weaker Cincy secondary with less preparation or do you wait another week and give Quinn the bye week to prepare for his start? |
I'd say give him the bye week
DA might be able to get something going against a poor Bungles team. but we're severely struggling with injuries, we have terrible linebackers and without Jones our secondary is even weaker. the defense overall is a shower of **** even with the Rodgers addition. Braylon ahs done nothing so far on offense everything is going to KW2 (our only competent healthy receiver at the moment) we need JJ back sharpish |
Is this what I think it is? An English fan of American football? You must be an expatriate.
When the season started, I was convinced we had a superb o-line. After seeing the wonderful finish on SUnday against the Eagles, I know now our o-line is the best on the league. Thank God we traded Faneca last year. |
i knew the browns were in for a wakeup call. i knew there was no way anderson was going to play as well as he did last year.
|
no not an ex-pat
I love baseball and Basketball even more than proper football I have distant relatives in Cleveland and saw an Indians game at the Jake (no unfortunately called Progressive Field) and that was that |
