Look on the bright side, Chargers division is one of the weaker ones and they always make a late-season charge. And at least Colt McCoy is at the helm now in Cleveland. I actually think in a few years Cleveland could be a good team. I wasn't big on McCoy but after seeing him play, I liked some things I saw. They've got their running game going. If they can build a better defense they'll be alright. It's just tough cause of that brutal division they are in.

As long as I can remember... I don't think he's set up for failure though. Obviously a better situation would be stepping into a team with a great defense or running game, but I think Colt is a good guy to build around. I was impressed with his mobility and pocket presence. I just don't know if he can throw it down field well enough yet. But I like Clevelands running game and I do think they are getting better even if their record doesn't show it. That division is just so smash mouth though that they are gonna need more playmakers. And Mangini is garbage as a coach I think.

i don't remember ever saying to myself: "wow, that colt kid really has talent". he was on a stacked team every year at texas. and I can't name 1 browns receiver other then cribbs(does he even play O?). i suppose they are decent in the run game.

McCoy doesn't have the measurables like a lot of other guys. Doesn't have the strongest arm and he's a skinnier 6 foot. But I think he's really smart, very accurate short range and hitting check downs, and I think he just understands what he needs to do out there. He knows his limitations and doesn't try to do too much.
One thing that should be interesting is the Cowboys next year. They have a ton of talent (though some of it is overrated - Roy Williams). And now they are going to finish with a lousy record and get a really high draft pick. |

i need to see him play at some point. but I rarely have the chance to see the browns as I'm in the indy market and don't have directv.
i don't know anyone that overrates roy williams at this point. and I doubt the 'boys will ever go far in the playoffs with romo.

I think romo is a pretty good QB. Don't think he's really the problem. Wade Phillips needs to go. Most of the Cowboys problems are with discipline and fundamentals and that comes form coaching. Wade phillips is a complete enabler and doesn't have the right mindset or attitude to be a head coach of a team like Dallas. They need someone who isn't afraid to put a player in their place or call somebody out. Wade's ho-hum demeanor just doesn't work there.

pretty good with an OK defense doesn't scare me. he also seems to melt under pressure 9/10 times.
and yes jerry should've fired wade years ago. if you watch a 'boys game on tv, he always has this dumb look on his face and you never see him talking to anyone.
