Yeah great game. The SEC continues to dominate!! Still not sure if Cam Newton is gonna succeed on the pro level, but made a good run in college. Nice resume at any rate.

Cam is basically Vince Young only more mature and a better passer in my opinion. At any rate, it's gonna be a lot of work for him because he doesn't run an offense at Auburn that even comes close to resembling an NFL offense. But I think he does have a lot of skill and a ton of athleticism. I'm never sure how guys like him will pan out or whether I'd risk a high pick on him. I don't know, Tebow surprised me, I know his completion percentage wasn't good but I thought he gave a crappy Denver team a good shot at winning some games. I used to hate Tebow but he's kinda winning me over, I wanna see him succeed.

Newton though just capped off one of the greatest single seasons by a QB ever. I'm glad Auburn got the win, mainly because I hate Oregon's coach and love Auburn's,

Yeah it was a toss up for me. I really didnt care either way who won the game. Good comparison though I was thinking earlier about the Vince Young resemblence. Only Vince single handedly pretty much won us the championship. Though on the pro level he just either cant stay healthy or lacks the mental skills it takes to overcome adversity and pressure. Sad cause I like Vince being a native Texan and all. Wouldnt be suprised to see him end up in a Vikings uniform next year. Which raises another question from me..Why did the Titans make the effort to sign Randy Moss and never throw him the ball? The Patriots were the only team that were able to utilize his skills since his days as a Viking. Which is weird when you have the threat of a Chris Johnson at the running back position. I know your a run first team but that should set up some play action go deep routes for Moss. I dont get Jeff Fisher sometimes and think he is highly overated as a coach.

When will other schools conditioning start competing with the SEC's, it's embarrassing. They looked like men among kids out there. Fairley is like an angry father playing smear the queer with a bunch of 8 year olds in a circus tent.

What? They don't have weights in Oregon?

Yeah i think Fisher is over-rated too. Moss was garbage with Oakland too. I think it's just tough to motivate Randy. Ever since Minnesota he's been a lazy schmuck who only runs deep routes. He just gave up this year, starting with the Vikings. You could tell he just wasn't trying. I don't know why anyone would want him anymore. I understand not throwing to him cause the only ball you can really throw to him is the deep ball and he doesnt get the seperation he used to. I think he's washed up.

Vince has a good record as a starter. His mental makeup and maturity just prevent coaches from having faith in him. He just seems so childish and dumb as bricks. He's never been a good passer but he's found ways to get the job done out there. Titans should be a lot better than what they are... I could see him with Minnesota. It'll be interesting to see where VY and McNabb end up this off-season.

Oh McNabb..forgot about him being a free agent. Possibly Arizona?? Man Shanahan really did him wrong I thought. Just flat out disrespected the man. McNabbs a pretty classy guy and I didnt agree with the cards he got dealt. They could have handled the situation a little bit different. Lot of teams needing a Q.B. though. Even though McNabbs on the backside of his career in the right scheme and surroundings could compete for Super Bowl I think.

SEC is the best conference because it gets the best recruits. that's all there is to it.

I think in the South football is more of a way of life. Though we compete in the Big 12 I know for a fact here in Texas football is a way of life. Theres truth in the movies you see..Varsity Blues..Friday Night Lights. I wish we were part of the SEC really. I think next to Texas... Florida either is equal or produces more star athletes than we do. Im sure its engrained in them from a very young age as it is here. You grow up imitating these athletic hero's as a child. Picking the backyard teams and pretending to be your favorite player. Until your old enough to actually play the sport and then you want to mold yourself into the star they are or were. I wish I knew the statistic on this, but id be willing to bet its a safe assumption. Concerning the star athlete ratio.
