We have the highest breed of football players in the world, just look at these guys! What do you think it was like back in the 1940s, I just wonder what Jim Brown could do, as a player in the game of todays football league?
You cant deny the game and all of the great players through the years just because of a few bad apples.
American Football is a religion, if only just a game.
And towmorrow is College Football, see how many games I can watch on TV simotaniously.

Raiders are terrible. Until Al Davis passes away, Oakland will remain irrelevant. Though, they are lucky enough to be in a pretty crappy division that's always inconsistent. So I'm rooting for them to win, but just don't see it happening. At least they rid themselves of the awful JaMarcus Russell.

I'm an Atlanta fan...and damn they are sitting in a good spot right now. 5-2 with a win VS New Orleans under their belt. And they have the Bucs at home. That would be a gigantic win for them.

The AFC is looking dominant once again. probably the best 6 teams are all AFC teams. And watching the Colts last night, I was once again left with my jaw on the floor after watching Peyton Manning. He is head and shoulders above any player I have ever watched. Bress, Brady, Rodgers, etc are all great, but NOBODY has ever been on Peyton's level. Watching him run an offense is truly an artform.

Worked out badly for the Vikes, but it was the right decision to waive him. He wasn't helping the team, seemed disinterested, and was causing locker room problems. Now the Titans have him... It's the same as it's always been with Randy. When he wants to try and go 100%, there's nobody that can stop him. But his effort is only there about 10% of the time. He's easily a hall of famer, but if he actually tried throughout his career, he could be knocking on the door of some of Rice's records. Childress is going to be gone after this season or next, as will Favre. It's about to be a new era in Minnesota. This isn't the same team as last year, they've lost firepower in every area of their team.

I don't know. Passing game seems to have improved a lot with Moss there. Correlation does not imply causation, but you know he was usually forcing opponents to double cover- except Cromartie (but he burned Revis in man coverage in that game anyway).

Favre's rating is up with Moss, and Harvin had been a huge beneficiary- went from 4 catches 35 yards per game average without Moss to 5 catches 72 yards with Moss. Team went 1-3 over his tenure, but they also played two of the NFL's best and Green Bay all on the road in that span. I think with him they could have been a playoff team looking at their remaining schedule- now that Harvin will command opponent's best corner, and defenses can stack the box a little more against Peterson I don't see them being better off, aside from him being a pain in the ass.

What Randy does is take the top off the defense and expand the field for underneath guys. You either play a safety over top of Moss or you risk getting burned. So in that aspect Moss was a huge help to the team, and Harvin definitely benefited ... but the thing with Moss is that he gets frustrated when safeties are constantly shading him. And that results in him not giving a ****. You could see it last game when he got interfered with, and then just completely gave up on a ball he could have easily caught.

The Vikings were a soap opera without Moss, and the general feeling is that Childress really isn't running that team.. Having Randy on the teams just makes it more of a soap opera and harder to keep everyone focused and on the same page.

I just think Randy made it impossible for the Vikes to keep him. He goes on a rant and embarrasses a catering service which puts a bad taste in his teammates mouth. He stands at a press conference and throws his teammates under the bus for not listening to the tips he gave them on New England.. Then he praises the Patriots to no end... after not even going half speed during the game and totally giving up on a should-have-been TD pass by Favre. All these things in just a few weeks. He's a guy who doesn't try, doesn't care, calls out teammates, and made a really bad impression on his new teammates.

Vikings aren't going anywhere this year with or without him. They are as good as done as far as I'm concerned. Favre isn't going to get any healthier, it's a matter of time before Travaris Jackson is starting. And their defense just isn't doing what it did last year. Vikings are going to have to really change things up next year (Favre, Childress both gone)
