Both teams differ in both defensive and offensive positions. Spread offences don't statsically work so well on SEC teams and I mean work in the state that its not a good idea to use them against SEC teams.

SEC teams have a tendancy to wear out there opponent by the second half with a lot of hard nosed up the gut run plays using a few players. You watched last season as texas tech beat texas using multiple runs which will confuse the f out of other pac 10 big 12 type defenses.

Let's compare their respective 'quality' wins:
USC:
Oregon
Cal
Ohio State
Florida:
Alabama
Georgia
Florida State

How lovely, Sports Illustrated doesn't even rank Cal in their top 20...

Freshman QB vs Heisman winner/heisman finalist from last year is a good start.
