the ones with just a slight sheaf of rubber

ah ok. I had this Indian friend back in high school who had this paddle that was ridiculously padded with rubber and he could put crazy spin on the ball. I always prefered the light wooden ones. I sacrifice the spin usually for the slam power. Cause if it's just a little bit above the net, I slam it.

Default table tennis

It's a good indoor sport whenever it rains outside, but prefer tennis

I used to be sick but I haven't played in a long time. I played a very conservative game. My best strength was being able to return pretty much anything, so I just waited for the other person to screw up. The longer the rally, the more likely they are to try some crazy kill shot and screw up. I did the same thing in badminton.

That's pretty much my tennis strategy. Return everything. And steal points when I can by hitting it to their backhand and charging the net, forcing them to hit a nice lob shot to get the point. I've got better since high school but back then I had no serve at all and would just wait for someone to drill it into the net or try a tough shot and miss. It's amazing in sports how many opponents will beat themselves if you let them.

Outdoor game, really?? Increase stamina? Are you sure you aren't thinking of regular tennis?

Yes, I have an interest of playing it since my school days and right now I’m playing for a club.
