Bryce Harper

So, thoughts on him leaving HS two years early to enroll in a JUCO and be eligible for the 2010 MLB draft? It seems to me like this guy is way, way more talented than anyone he plays against, I think he feels like he has to play better competition to improve. Of course more money sooner is also a factor whenever Scott Boras is 'advising' someone.

I'd say probably a terrible move for 99% of kids, but from what I've heard he may very well be in that other 1%.

If a MLB team is willing to show him the money, he might as well.

Yea sorry about that, I just enjoy using my small amount of sports knowledge whenever I can ;)

No biggie, we all need our egos stroked then and again.

Usually I stroke my ego on my own time, this was an exception.

Yes obviously Lebron would be the classic example of that other 1% lol.

He'll benefit more playing 1 year of college ball than he will 2 years in high school. Plus, who wouldn't want to hurry to the draft when there's an $8-10 million+ signing bonus waiting? Kid will be set for life even if he never ends up playing in a single major league game.

Eh, baseball is a lot different from b'ball. A ton more top prospects just completely flop. Hell, my good friend was a first round choice and is in high A ball with a ridiculously high ERA and no control. You just can't tell.
