Well, we may have lost the game, but we won the aggregate!
Wait, it's not scored that way? Well, at least we have more bronzes...

Woooo!
The Americans played a great tourney...as much as I hate to say it cause they're soft. BUT, they played good tough hockey, Kess especially. 76% in faceoffs against mostly top line centers is insane. The unsung hero of this tournament for Canada was without a doubt Drew Doughty. In my opinion he played the best hockey consistantly all tournament. His teammates obviously thought the same considering the ovation by the crowd and team when they gave him the flag first to skate around with.

Oh and Kessel played like shit, so I'm assuming you're talking about Kesler, which I heartily agree with. Zach Parise & Brian Rafalski are up there as well.

Shit is ***. They should play another game, both only having one loss. I feel so unsatisfied and robbed in so many ways. Miller won't be ready to come back and start dominating for Buffalo. I need a drink, hair of the dog.

I only watched some of the events. The most fun to watch was the snowboarding, especially the women's. Gretchen Bleiler, Torah Bright, total babefest.
Also watched figure skating... male figure skating, which is totally not gay. Well, it got a little gay. |

Kesler is a serious exception.

We must have seen completely different games. With the exception of Rick Nash- who I didn't know was as physical as he played- the Americans out-gritted, out-toughed, and out-hustled you lot. In the second game the throw it deep and grind it out game wasn't as sound, but still there.

I thought the closing ceremonies were a little too sappy, playing into Canadian cliches almost. Then again, I'm one of those people who think BC is it's own thing and don't like it nearly as much as Alberta or the Yukon. Vancouver is more like Seattle or Portland, than Calgary or Edmonton. I once heard someone in Calgary tell me that as far as he was concerned, Canada ends where the Rocky Mountains end.
